It’s a trash phone but for $60 you can’t complain. I bought it for my daughter to watch YouTube and play games, I didn’t even pay for service or connect it to tracphones service. From the back it looks like a flagship phone and actually has a decent weight to it, it feels premium in the hand. There’s a decent amount of lag when navigating pages and apps, but nothing deal breaking, lag is pretty standard on android phones. 90hz display is nice but the lag kind of negates the point. It doesn’t lag when actually playing video or playing most games, just when scrolling through settings/apps/homescreen etc for some reason. If you’re looking for a cheap “tablet” you can’t really beat it. The battery easily lasts a full day; I can get 2-3 days out of it with light use. I wouldn’t want to use it as my daily driver long term, but it would work in a pinch. ... show more

This Samsung A16 is excellent technology. It is rmarkable how much science has advanced. One can now download apps of many different types to get connected to interests. The tehnology has biometric sign in that makes it much easier than passwords alone. The features are intuitive, though there is a learning curve to understanding all of the different screens and how to acces them. One can get many notifications of important information, and at the same time one can limit some of those notifications in order to save internet data. More than adequate for my needs. The A16 works smoothly. It has a great camera, too. The battery life is adequate. And an incredible price.

    • Like the phone. Phone number transfer NOT easy.
We had to replace my spouse's aged LG smart phone and chose this one. I already have the A14 so chose this one. Easy to set up and use. Easy to activate on tracfone, but not so easy to transfer service from old phone to this one. First, our QR reader on the LG was outdated so couldn't use it. Using Smartswitch on both didn't help. Had to transfer everything manually. Then, had to contact tracfone and spent an hour just to transfer phone number from old phone to this one. Why? Why does tracfone make it so difficult to transfer number? Why do they make it so hard to just buy a phone when you already have a plan? Overall, phone is nice and lightweight. Phone was easy to set up and use. Seems Durable enough. Good Value for money. Couldn't get it through tracfone due to already having a plan so bought it here. Highly recommend it. Does what it should. Quick response and charging, though not "Lightning fast." ... show more

The phone would not connect to a network. Since I didn't have a working phone, I couldn't make a voice call to Tracfone, and their website was just not working. I was on the verge of returning it, having done a factory reset, but gave the Tracfone website and its chat one more try. A very helpful customer service person very patiently got me through what I needed to do, and I was able to make a call and send texts. Much as I like Amazon, I would recommend purchasing a phone from a store where you can walk out with a fully functional phone, at least for Tracfone. ... show more

Despite being an economy model, this phone has a lot of great features, from easy bluetooth connection, to rapid transferability with your old phone. The speed and power are there with the ample RAM and internal storage capacity. The phone charges well and offers features to save battery and extend the battery's life when charging. Touch responsiveness and camera quality are what I have come to expect from a Samsung Galaxy. I hadn't updated my phone in 5 years, and that model was relatively old when I got it, but this new one features so many amazing features, as well as games included. Cheap material. My kid's phone fell out of his packet a few days after we purchased it. Had a drop rated case on it with a screen protector and the bottom portion of the phone screen cracked several times. The screen protector didn't even have a crack on it. Their older models didn't even do this after being dropped alot. New model, cheap materials I guess. ... show more

Feels very sturdy and premium and has a new look to it that makes it stand out. The battery held a gr wet it charge the first few days but I think I use it more now than I did when I first received it. The typing ability is great and rarely click on the wrong app.
