Great Cat's Cradle string
My kids, ages 9 and 10, are crazy about Cat's Cradle. This string is great for Cat's Cradle. It is smooth, continuous (no knots--very important), and a good length for this age of child. We have the book String Games, which has great directions for Cat's Cradle. We have an older version, which came as a kit with strings. This string goes really well with the book, String Games. My kids have entertained themselves for days on end with this string. This string, plus String Games book, would make a great gift for kids age 7-10.

Fun
Good old fashion game to pass down to my kids. Could use more directions!

Cat's Cradle Anyone?
This item was great, until it broke after three days. Granted it did get extensive use, but isn't that what it's all about?

This is a piece of string
This might be the dumbest thing I've ever bought. I don't know what I thought I was getting, but I didn't think I was getting what is basically a thick shoestring tied end-to-end so it forms a big circle. It says directions are included "inside" but the only directions are some black & white drawings showing different ways you could twist a string to make it look like something else - and they are printed ON the package, which gets ripped when you open it, so you have to piece it back together to read the "directions" anyway. But the "directions" don't explain HOW to do anything, there is no step-by-step or even any step at all. Seriously, go get a pair of old shoes. Remove the shoelaces and tie them together so they make a giant circle. Then go on YouTube and get directions on how to take that shoestring loop and make it into cool designs with your finger. You just saved yourself 5 bucks and preserved your self esteem for not falling victim to buying a piece of string online.

It's a string, haha it works just wish it came with pictures or instructions for all the moves. We get stuck after only 3. But I'm sure youtube could be helpful.

Fun toy
We bought this for a gift bag for a birthday present along with lots of other fun little items. I have great memories of playing the string games with my family when I was a kid with just a piece of string or yarn. So when I saw this in it's bright pink color I thought it might interest another little girl to get her family to teach it to her!

Not Bungy/Elasticy
This is not the true, old school type of Cat's Cradle string. It is not bungy or elasticy. You could have used a strong shoelace for the same effect. I'll keep searching!

Kids Classic. No electricity involved:)
My 8 year-old daughter loves to play with this Cat's Cradle Super String. She can play alone, with her sister or with friends. Surprisingly, many of her friends have never seen one. It would be a shame to go through one's entire childhood without exploring all of the possible uses for this toy! I am glad I got this childhood staple!
