I had such a problem with these things early on, went through the trouble of taking one apart to figure out what the mechanism was trying to do. Here's how to make them work perfectly: Look at the tube that reaches down to the bottom of the bottle. That tube is threaded on, it doesn't look like it, but it is. You can unscrew it and seal the threads, then tighten it down. I recommend teflon tape, it's cheap and super unlikely to be dissolved by any solvent. If you're in a pinch, dental floss will work. One way or the other, these things are dead simple and robustly built. If you seal the threads on the end of the dip tube, they'll last you a lifetime.

This little jars come with a seal, but its just a thin little disk that is sort of a styrofoam kind of thing. When you try to push the top plunger down to get the liquid product in the well, the product either won’t come up from the jar and when it does, it shoots out all over the place. The only thing i have positive to say about it is my product doesn’t evaporate.

Sporadic quality with this product. Some worked immediately right out of the package, others not at all, some leak, but the ones that work are fantastic. I wouldn’t say they’re expensive but the fact that you buy two and maybe get one that works well means this is not a cost effective product.

I had searched for a while for a glass pump dispensing bottle for rubbing alcohol. This fits the bill. The bottle holds about 3 oz and has a non-reactive stainless pump with a covering flip lid. The pump works well. The pump stem did come off (probably loosened in transit). I was able to fish it out of the bottle and screw back on without any problems. The package is an attractive, clutter free way to have rubbing alcohol handy on the counter. The questions posed for this review asked about leaking and travel. This is not a travel dispenser, as it would no doubt leak. For counter top use, I would give it 5 stars.

I use this to put baby oil on cotton balls to remove my makeup (best makeup remover ever). It works great! It does splash a little if you pump it too fast and the stem inside that draws the oil up did come unscrewed after using it for a while. But I just screwed it back in and it was fine. The glass is thick and sturdy and so is the metal. Great product!

One review said you need to ensure the straw is screwed on tightly, so I did just that and it has worked beautifully for me. I filled mine with baby oil for use in the bathroom. It’s great, I dab some toilet paper on the little thing and have a better-for-the-plumbing wipe.
