  • Toy piano with many different functions plus a microphone for kiddo to sing in Toy piano with many different functions plus a microphone for kiddo to sing in
So I really wanted to be able to test this out but no matter what remote I looked into, I didn't have the right batteries but I fully understand the concept and I think it's really really cool. I cannot wait to try it out and have all the little kids try it. So mainly what I get from it is that the numbers on the piano or what's going to play the song and each side of the cards has a different song. I think that's totally cool. There might even be options where it even says the number. I didn't really read through the directions that fast, I just glance at them fast because I was like whoa this is kind of a neat product. Penelope piano is something that runs in our family so it's just habitual for us to know the tune of something so that's why I wanted to get the batteries and see if it lines up with a regular piano but I really don't think it would matter because it's just for little kids and teaching them how to play songs and their numbers as well which I find to be very cool. It comes with a ton of cards so that means a ton of songs. The keyboard itself is adorable and the fact that you can sing into it and sing along to the music is even better. I've just always had a thing for a little keyboards and have bought them all my kids' lives and this one is just definitely different than anything I've ever seen. I know the perfect person that would love this and I can't wait to give it to them when the time comes because the little boy is just so smart and articulate at 3 years old and speaks like crazy so I think it'll be perfect for him. And it's a little compact toy. I mean it's not small but it is more compact than one long keyboard for a little kid. I also forgot to mention that there's a bunch of different functions so it's not just the kids playing the music. So yes there are various things that you can do with it. Now as from the quality of it, it is a very light keyboard so I can't say how long that would hold up with a little kid throwing a piano across the room that has a little bit of a range problem but it may hold up a few times of that. But if a kid is sitting there playing with it normally and it might fall onto the carpet it's going to be fine. I think it's durable enough for that. I mean all in all I guess when my kids were younger I would have bought this because of all the things that it does and can teach my children or could have taught my children. But now can teach other children. I do recommend this. Once the little boy plays with it I will update nothing anyone know the different features and the volume and whatnot because I like to let people know that stuff too which is why I wish I had batteries for the review. ... show more

  • Well Designed Toy Piano Great for Early Learning and Creative Play Well Designed Toy Piano Great for Early Learning and Creative Play
This is a cute musical toy that exceeded my expectations and offers numerous learning opportunities along with early piano skills. We had 5 grandchildren (7 months to 4 years old) here today playing with the toy piano. First, the design of the toy makes it comfortable to place on your lap, a table, couch, or floor. The favorite selection today was the black touch key in the center which plays multiple tunes. The piano is a touchpad where little ones use one finger to tap the notes rather than depress keys. The younger toddlers recognize colors on each piano key in the octave and learn that each key represents a unique pitch Also, they learn about patterns and how the pitches are used to produce their favorite songs. Older toddlers and young elementary age children have the opportunity to use the play by number cards creating classic children's songs. Additionally, children notice that some of the notes are quick and short while other notes are longer which the cards try to annotate. Having a keyboard brings the opportunity to make up their own songs or try to play other favorites. Overall, the multiple sound modes include piano, xylophone, cat meows, and dog barks. Developmentally, the toy helps with hand-eye coordination, finger isolation, color and number recognition, and builds music exploration. For our family, even the babies were paying attention to this toy. Our granddaughters, 2 to 4, were fascinated with the functions and thought the piano was easy to use. The play-by-number cards are a challenge that we will work toward with the older toddlers who are learning number recognition. 5 stars because this is a well designed and fun educational toy introducing musical concepts which are fabulous for the brain. ... show more

  • My 2.5 year old niece loves it! My 2.5 year old niece loves it!
Overall my niece loves this! The cards are pretty useless. We will probably end up losing them. I do not understand why there’s an “i” where the 8 should be. Maybe there’s a music reason for the i that I’m not aware of, but it’s a little confusing for a child who’s learning numbers. The lights are fun and the microphone is a fun touch. The microphone can barely be heard on the first sound setting though and really needs to be on the second sound setting to be heard. Besides the couple of quarks, it’s a great gift for a 2-3 year old. ... show more

  • Adorable, colorful, and great quality — perfect size too Adorable, colorful, and great quality — perfect size too
This rainbow piano toy is absolutely adorable. The colors are bright and cheerful, with cute character designs (the little cloud speakers and sunshine accent give it so much personality) that make it perfect for a nursery or playroom setup. I also love that it comes with a toy microphone, which adds even more play value for when my little one is old enough to use it. The build quality feels solid — sturdy plastic, well-constructed buttons, and nothing flimsy about it. The size is exactly what I was hoping for, not too bulky but still substantial enough to look great as a display piece. For now, I’m using it as decor in my baby’s room until he’s old enough to actually interact with it, and it genuinely doubles as a sweet decorative piece in the meantime. Great find for both function and aesthetic. ... show more

  • Great product!
I got this Toy Piano Keyboard for Kids & Toddlers, 6+ Months | Play-by-Numbers, 16 Song Cards, Early Music & Creativity, Great Gift for Boys & Girls. My great-grandson absolutely loves this toy piano! He spent hours happily pressing the keys and playing his own little tunes. He has always enjoyed toys that make sounds and play music, so this quickly became one of his favorites. The piano is the perfect size for little hands, and the colorful design keeps him interested while encouraging him to explore music and creativity. It's a fun way for young children to develop hand eye coordination and an early interest in music while simply enjoying themselves. Overall, this has been a big hit, and I am very pleased with the quality and entertainment it provides. ... show more

  • This started as 5 stars, and descended into a dangerous 1 star
When I opened this, I found myself slightly impressed by how cute it was. The general design is sweet, and adorable. I was a little annoyed by how difficult it was to play the keys accurately... but then my child came up and made me realize that kids do not care about playing the keys accurately! He LOVED it! Then he found the microphone, and it changed his life. He was soooo excited to carry this around and talk into the mic. I thought we had found a real winner. The cat and dog sounds were fun, and he could even control the lights. However, the poor design and construction really reared its face, as he pulled the microphone wire. It turns out that the microphone had no adhesive connecting any of the parts, and no stopper or anything that would prevent the wire from being pulled out from the mic. So that's what happened... the wire pulled out, broke the microphone, and then the end of the mic split in two, and the tiny little metal end of the microphone came out... the perfect size for a small child to swallow and/ or choke on. Really bad design. I hate that I have to give this such a poor rating, but that kind of thing just isn't acceptable for children's toys. This isn't safe to have around kids. ... show more

  • A good quality toy that gives my grandson focus, and helps develop his love of music! A good quality toy that gives my grandson focus, and helps develop his love of music!
What an adorable toy! My 3 1/2 year old grandson loves my piano, so I got him this toy to play on. When he's tired of just banging the keys, he can use the cards to play basic, traditional children's songs. It is a sturdy plastic he carries around and it's held up to his 3 1/2 year old manner of play. It came boxed in pretty vibrant box, and there are no small pieces I have to worry about regarding choking hazard. The design is very appealing for toddlers. It does require batteries, which is a financial consideration for toys now a days, since many newer designs are a rechargeable design. ... show more

  • Toy piano that entertains the baby AND doesn't drive parents insane
There are two categories of baby toys: ones that make you want to relocate, and ones that are actually tolerable. This toy piano falls in the second category, which puts it in rare company. The sounds are musical rather than chaotic, the volume is reasonable at max, and the keys actually respond to touch at the right pressure for little fingers. It plays songs, lights up, and has survived being used as both an instrument and a seat cushion by my 8-month-old. Good starter music toy. Five stars for being a baby toy that adults can peacefully coexist with. ... show more
