Okay, for the most part, this item is pretty durable. The first one I received, the wood split and I was not able to connect one of the sides to the front & back panel. I did send the company an image of my dilemma, and they quickly sent out a replacement. Once assembled, toys were packed inside and messes were diverted. I bought this for my 4yr old for a toy chest. It's perfect size and seems sturdier than most build your own furniture these days. The rustic brown is beautiful. I plan on buying a couple more, one for my 8yr olds toys and the other for blanket/linen storage at the foot of our bed. It was very easy to put together minus the locking hinges. The directions were not clear on which way they were mounted. I looked at the pics on here and found that the way they're pictured does not hold the lid up and allows it to slam. I mounted them "upside down" (see pic) and it works perfect! ... show more

I bought this toy box for my kids stuffed animals and it fit them all. It was fairly easy to assemble by myself but I recommend having another set of hands. Overall, for the price and size it was a perfect fit for storage and decoration.

The holes in one of the boards was not as instructions stated. The company sent a new board and my husband was able to put it together with no problems. It looks just like the picture. We use it for a toy box for my granddaughter. I would purchase from this company again.

When I first got the package it was missing piece E. I contacted the manufacturer or the seller and they quickly sent me that piece so I started putting it Together, I got all the way to the very end and the Spring hinges don’t work properly. It’s almost seems like they are two of the same side so they don’t fit when you’ve put everything in place the way you’re supposed to. When I put it together and tried to open and close it, it split the wood…. it’s just a mess don’t bother with the headache of this thing. I took the Spring hinges off but now I have to latch it closed because toddlers wouldn’t understand that you have to hold the lid so that it doesn’t slam down on their fingers. It was a total waste of my money and a waste of my time. When my husband gets back from deployment he said that he was going to go to the hardware store and see if he can find a solution so that we didn’t waste all of our money on this product but we shouldn’t have to do that. ... show more
