I was looking for a bath robe that would feel like a towel but not be too bulky or hot. After reading some of the reviews, I proceeded with caution and bought a white robe. To address some of the comments that almost kept me from purchasing: 1. This robe is not too thick or too thin. It is a perfect, high-quality towel weight. It's not fluffy, and it's not a dish towel. It's right in between. 2. This robe does not have a bunch of frays. If it does fray in the wash, snip them! But mine arrived in great condition and washed well. 3. This robe is true to size, but has extra room...because it's a robe. I wear a XXL in clothing, so I bought the XL/XXL and it's a perfect fit. 4. This robe is very absorbent. After I wash my hair (which is long) it doesn't soak the neck of the robe, which is nice. This is a great product. You'd spend a lot more money at Lands End or a department store for this robe. After reading other reviews and opinions, I purchased the xs-s. I am 5.4" 115 lbs. It fits just right in sleeve length and comes down to my calf. I do wish it was a little wider when belted. The robe itself is soft enough, and it is about medium weight for the winter months. So far, so good.

I purchased this a robe to wear outside when I go in my hot tub in the winter/fall time when it is colder outside. At the time I purchased this robe I also purchased two others (3 total) from TowelSelections that are all cotton terry robes. My purpose for this was that I go in the hot tub almost every day, so I wanted a supply of robes without doing the laundry and wasn't sure exactly what size and how well they would dry me off and hold up over time. The three different robe collections that I purchased were Magnolia Collection, Lily Collection, and Jasmine Collection. This robe that I am writing about is form the Magnolia Collection and the color I purchased was desert sand. The color of the robe exactly matched the color shown online when I purchased. It is listed as a lightweight robe along with the robe that I purchased from the Lily Collection. As far as I can tell after wearing both of them 3 to 4 times the only real difference from the Magnolia Collection (this robe) and the Lily Collection is just the collar. This robe had a Kimono style collar while the Lily Collection had a shawl style collar. They are both listed as lightweight, but in comparison to the towel wraps that I purchased for the summer months, some of those terry towels felt paper thin, while this bathrobe was more of a medium thickness that I liked. That being said the other robe that I purchased from the Jasmine collection was listed as a heavier robe and is differently thicker than the two robes that I got from the Magnolia and Lily Collection. This robe does do a good job of drying me off and I don't need an additional towel. I also purchased different size robes among the three I purchased. Both this robe and the one from the Lily Collection where size X-Large/XX-Large and the one from the Jasmine collection was one size smaller at Large/Extra-Large. FYI: I am male, 6 ft tall and typically wear a large size shirt. This robe along with the other one that was the same size, different model robe, are a little bit too big on me. I picked "fit as expected" when writing this review as I knew that it would likely be a bit baggy since it is a size larger then I normally wear for a shirt. After trying on on three robes, I think that the one size smaller would have been a better fit for me (Large/Extra Large). The only issue is with the bagginess, the length on my leg and arm are perfect (see photo). I actually don't mind the extra size since I use the robe to completely dry myself after getting out of the tub. Since getting robe, wearing it and sending it through the washer/drier 3 to 4 times it has held up well and still looks like new. (see photo) ... show more

Pros—nice weight, I’d call it medium weight. Doesn’t feel heavy to wear yet it’s thicker than I expected (a plus for me cuz I’m always cold). Originally ordered M/L but was too big. I’m 5’10” & 165, size 10 US. When I’d overlap the front I needed to go past the belt loops on the sides. Returned for S/M and fits perfectly, still lots of room to overlap in front. It’s long, I’m tall but it still goes 3-4inches below my knees. Also the sleeves are nice and long. I have long arms yet the sleeves go just past my wrists. Nice cuff will easily roll once without being too thick or tight. The underside of the cuff looks nice when rolled (not a lot of unsightly seams or threads). Also the opening of the sleeves is not too large—it measures 13.5 inches. When the opening is larger it feels colder, and I tend to drag it across things. I love the absorbency—can put on wet right out of the shower. I prefer this to a softer material. I have yet to find a material providing both. Cons—my hairbrush has snagged the terry cloth fabric. Be careful when brushing hair. Also I wish it had the small tie inside the robe for security. I don’t want to worry about the main belt coming untied while doing the laundry, etc. Also the inside tie helps keep the overlap the way you want it. Overall—I’m very pleased with this robe! I typically wear a medium, but went for the medium/large due to other reviews and I’m glad I did. It definitely isn’t too big. My only complaint is that the arms are slightly on the short side. If they were about two inches longer it would be perfect. Right now they sit about half an inch above my wrist. The fabric is thick and feels well made. Heavier than I expected, which was a nice surprise. It may have shrunk slightly,but not noticeably. I would order again. The gray is a nice light color. ... show more

I'm not a picky guy but I expected a soft robe, like the soft towels I bought last year. At best, the robe is like buying cheap towels.
