When I first pulled this pool basketball hoop out of the box, my honest thought was, "That's a lot of pieces for something that's supposed to just float and be fun." There was a backboard, a rim, a net, four little balls, a separate ring game with 12 rings, a pump, and what looked like enough plastic connectors to build a small spaceship. I sighed, spread everything out on the patio, and started assembling while my kids circled me like sharks. Twenty minutes later (and only one minor argument about which way the base faces), it was floating in the pool. The anti-tip base filled with water (easy, just submerge it) and suddenly the whole thing was stable. Not tipping. Not drifting dramatically. Just sitting there, ready for chaos. The 2-in-1 design is clever. Basketball on one side, ring toss on the other. The backboard is detachable, so you can set up just one game if you want, but why would you? More games, more fun. The included pump actually worked—no leaks, no fighting with cheap plastic valves. I inflated the rings and the little basketballs (yes, the balls are inflatable too, which means they float and don't sink to the bottom like sad little rocks). My three-year-old nephew managed to get a ring on the hook. My twelve-year-old niece dunked on the hoop. Even the adults got competitive. The base stayed put the whole time, even with people splashing and grabbing the rim. No tipping. No floating away mid-shot. What I like: · Anti-tip base actually works. Fill it with pool water and it's solid. No chasing the hoop across the pool. · Two games in one. Basketball for older kids and adults, ring toss for the little ones. Everyone plays. · Detachable backboard means you can rearrange or store it flat. Easy to put away at the end of summer. · Four balls included. Fewer arguments about whose turn it is to have the ball. Not zero arguments, but fewer. · Pump works. Small miracle. I've bought pool toys with useless pumps before. This one holds air. What I don't like: · Assembly requires patience. Not hard, but there are a lot of parts. Read the instructions or suffer. · The plastic feels a little thin on the rings. Fine for gentle kids, but aggressive toddlers might snap them. · Balls are small and inflatable. Easy to lose, easy to pop on pool deck edges. Buy backups if you're smart. · The net is flimsy. Soft mesh, not competition grade. It catches the ball but looks sad doing it. · Takes up pool space. Fine for a large pool, cramped for a small above-ground situation. I really hope this hoop set is durable and stands up to every day use because my pool has suddenly become the neighborhood hangout and this thing gets played with constantly. After a full summer of daily use, sun exposure, chlorinated water, and at least one incident where a grown adult hung on the rim (I won't name names), the base still holds water, the backboard hasn't cracked, and the balls still hold air. For anyone with kids (or adults who act like kids) and a pool, this 2-in-1 set is hours of entertainment for not much money. Just pump everything up before the kids see it. Trust me. I had a great time testing out this towable tube, and it has quickly become one of my favorite additions to our boating days. The round flying saucer shape is fun, stable, and surprisingly comfortable. The EVA foam pads make a big difference when you are holding on at full speed, and the handles have enough padding that my elbows and hands never felt beat up after a long ride. Inflation is simple with the Boston valve. It fills fast, seals tightly, and deflates just as easily when it is time to pack up. Once inflated, the tube keeps its shape well. The material feels thick and durable, and it handles choppy water without folding or dragging. The size is great for 2 riders, and it tows smoothly behind the boat without any unpredictable wobbling. The bright color makes it easy to spot in the water, which is something I always appreciate when kids are using it. The drainage works well, so it never feels waterlogged or heavy. Climbing back on from the water is easy thanks to the well placed handles. We also used it for a relaxed float at sunset, and it was just as enjoyable drifting as it was being pulled. It feels sturdy, safe, and built for fun. For the price, the value is excellent. It performs well, looks good, and has held up perfectly so far. This towable tube exceeded my expectations and is comparable in quality to the big-name brand tubes we already own. It's very well made, with strong stitching and plenty of reinforcement in all the areas that take the most stress. I really appreciate the extra comfort features. The padding around the handles and knee areas helps prevent rubbing and makes for a much more enjoyable ride. The tube rides smoothly across the water and feels stable whether you're taking it easy or picking up speed. The bright colors are another great feature. They make the tube highly visible to other boaters and easy to spot while floating in the water, which adds an extra level of safety. The rear drainage flap works well to keep excess water from collecting while being towed, helping the tube perform better and stay lighter.
