  • Fantastic cooler for fishing. Comfortable, pretty much perfect except color!
Color: 01-Gray
I purchased this specifically for keeping fish on ice. I have two other coolers (hard and soft) from big expensive brand, but I needed something as a backpack, as there are trout streams here that are stocked but can only be reached by bike and then hiking down to the water. This has served me well on 4 full-day fishing trips involving biking and hiking, so I'm super happy with it. I just wish the all black version was available on Amazon when I purchased it... For a trout excursion, I typically pack in the cooler: trout tackle (split shots, spinners, flies, soft plastics, hooks, line, etc), snacks for the day, water filter, energy drink, UL rod (either 4pc spinning or telescoping fly), 10lb ice, fishing tools (forceps, ikijime tool, knife, snips), fish rag, and UL reel. This pack carries it ALL, plus a full limit of trout. Since we have a trout harvest stocking program, the limit is relatively high, but I still have room to spare in one of the pockets and plenty in the main compartment. It's still comfortable and light without the trout, but once the trout get in there, it's quite heavy, but yeah, that's to be expected. Tip: To keep the cooler smelling fresh, use a plastic bag liner for where you put the fish. I use a large plastic bag as a liner, dump the ice in, and fish sometimes go directly in there, or other times I will bag fish with a jumbo plastic zip for extra safety from fish slime and juice. You can wash the plastic liners and re-use them many times. Fish slime sometimes can be hard to get rid of, so in a soft cooler, I recommend taking precautions to prevent it. Pros: - Waterproof — I can set it on the water and use it as a platform for putting my tackle on, I can set it on mud and not worry about stains or getting it dirty. Just needs a quick wipe down and it's ready to go back in my little car without dirtying it up. - Spacious — keeps everything I need. I honestly was surprised about this. I thought I'd have to leave some stuff behind but I am able to take exactly what I want with plenty of room to spare. One of the main reasons why I purchased this specific cooler is because of the pockets on the side, which aren't too common on cooler backpacks. - 48 hour ice — I'd say their estimate of keeping ice for 48 hours is accurate. On a not-too-warm day (70s) where I opened the compartment a lot, I got 48 hours with plenty of ice. 72 hours later there was still ice but mostly water. I also don't pre-chill the cooler or use a ton of ice or any of that. Way too lazy. You could probably push it way further if you were not lazy like I am. - Leakproof — no leaks anywhere, though I have not tipped it over and tested the top zipper. Not to worried about that though, it's super sturdy. Cons: - With a full load with the trout, it gets really heavy. That's to be expected. My shoulders were tired after a full day of fishing, though I sometimes set the cooler down while I fished. It sort of digs into the lower back with a really heavy load, simply because it's not a tall cooler. Basically, my load without the trout is fine. With the trout, it starts wearing down on me. - I wish there were hip straps to better distribute the load of the back pack, but the way it's shaped, that's just not possible since it would need to be much taller rather than more squarish. - Really strong plastic smell was present when I bought and opened it. Like super strong. I even read reviews and instructions and knew it was coming, but it was still surprising how powerful it was. Just open it up and air it out outside. Hasn't come back since. - Color. I wish mine was black :) Overall, I'm really satisfied with this. I intend to use it as a multipurpose, but primarily for fishing. I wouldn't be afraid to take it around for camping or something. You wouldn't be able to hold those giant sea fish in there, but for most applications, it should be fine. I would definitely trim spines first before putting any fish into a soft insulated cooler. ... show more

  • Fantastic Insulation!
Color: Blue
This is the best cooler I’ve ever owned. And it should be, for the price. It didn’t cost as much as a Yeti (which I boycott), but it wasn’t cheap either, costing at least a half a star. Having said that, it has much better performance than any cooler I’ve ever tried costing less. It kept our food and drink cold for 3 days, without adding any more ice. This claim of waterproof/leakproof zipper and design hold very true. It’s insulation is so good, you don’t have any ‘sweating’ it condensation on the outside of the cooler, even in warm weather. I would put the performance of this cooler up against a Yeti cooler of similar size, costing maybe hundreds more. The zipper is stiff at first, but they warn you of that, and provide some zipper lube, lol. I’d highly recommend the zipper lubrication before use, and slide the zipper a few times on all the zippers, to work it in. After that, it glides fine. The cooler is thick and the materials are premium. I expect this cooler to last us years, and we are quite abusive (Camping, kayaking, beach going, boating) on these kinds of things. I took off the backpack straps before use, so I cannot comment on comfort or functionality as a backpack, but I can say that the backpack straps look just as durable and well designed as the rest of the cooler. I do deduct another half a star for the amount of space inside the cooler though. Unfortunately, because the insulation is so good and so think, you sacrifice a little space on the inside compared to its outer volume. But, it maintains a small footprint, because it stands upright. I guess because of that, I give it a half a star back. Lol. 4.5 stars! I highly recommend, and I’m highly critical! ... show more

  • Great for the Beach
Color: Blue
I've had this cooler for about 2 weeks. I bought it to carry to the beach every day on vacation and it was perfect. I filled it with ice and drinks and snacks before we left, and it stayed overnight in the hot car while we stayed in a hotel (with temperatures in the high 90s) and 24 hours later, it was still full of ice. Each day for a week we filled it with drinks and ice for the beach and it sat in the sun for several hours, and everything stayed cold. Most days, I could just put the ice back into the freezer to use the next day. It was comfortable to carry. No leaks at all. ... show more

  • Great deal!!
Color: 01-Gray
Over $100 cheaper than the BIG NAME! 3 day camping trip. I added a picture of the ice at the end of the trip. I'm a smaller framed man and this fit my shoulders perfect. Unless you need to feel better wearing fancy clothes. Don't waste your money on a higher priced cooler.

  • Equal to the "Big Names" on Quality, with a Better Price
Color: Blue
My initial review - November 2018 - After using this cooler on several camping trips, I have found the product to be effective in varying conditions. One of the, late summer, camping trips saw temps into the high 70's during the day and this cooler still retained ice after several days. Obviously there was melting, it's a cooler, not a freezer, but the water that remained was easily in the "cold" end of the spectrum, retaining the temp to the products in the cooler. I'm not marketing for this company, but for >$100 less in price than some of it's competitors, seems to me, that's a better deal. Glad I took the chance on this product. ... show more

  • Awesome Cooler Backpack!
Color: Blue
This is a great cooler bag for the price. It’s definitely comparable to the YETI with some additional feature that I love. I definitely recommend this bag. Don’t waste your money on the overpriced brand. This TOURIT does the job!

  • Perfect size, keeps things cold.
Color: 01-Gray
Works really well for family beach trip and baseball tournaments in the summer!! Definitely kepts things coldest when the cooler is full but works even if not full just won't keep things as cold as long. Big enough to hold plenty but not so big that I can't carry it, I'm 5'4 and was worried it would be too big but it's not. I would recommend this cooler to anyone with kids and an active family!! ... show more
