First I wanna start out by saying I needed this backpack last minute for a trip. Amazon had overnight delivery and we got at 4am that very next day! Couldn't be more happy about that. As far as the backpack, it looks very durable. The zippers are very nice and smooth. Has a bottle opener on the shoulder strap. I was able to fit many freezer packs along with 12 bottles of water and insulin, the very sole reason for purchase. I will update again once I actually see how well it performs. But I couldn't be more happy to have gotten it in time. It is also exactly as described by the seller/manufacturer. The inside insulation seems very thick. I kept reading the reviews about leaking, but I'm sure they just threw ice in there like it's a hard sided cooler. Not sure that's the intention for this bag. Thanks tourit! Thanks amazon! **update** Using freezer packs, they stayed frozen and using hotel ice in a zip lock bag, the ice barely melted. Kept the insulin and drinks refrigerator cold!! Very surprised at this cooler backpack. Would 1000% recommend this cooler bag. It also did not leak and did not leave condensation or sweat where the bag was sitting. I'm not sure how well it would perform in full sun for 4+ hours, but for hotel and travel use, it was really amazing. And im not even done with it yet!!! ... show more

I bought this backpack cus I travel a lot for work and the one I had was in shambles. This is a durable backpack perfect for travel. Unlike most backpacks that get "wet" after ice is in them for a while, this one has not so far and the ice stays in tact for quite a while. I usually will freeze several bottles of flavored water when traveling on long road trips and this backpack has kept those drinks frozen for the entire time I have been driving for an avg of 14 hours per day through states like AZ and Tenn during some of the hottest days. It's not going to keep your food and drinks cold for days. It's not a yeti. But it did keep some leftovers cold on a road trip for a few hours, and kept drinks cold for a day at the beach. Good value for keeping things cold for the day, but no longer. Having backpack straps is nice and the extra pockets are good to have as well. I use it as a lunchbox for work! I love it! I've had soda pop open and it held in all the liquid, so that is leak proof to me, it keeps my food cold for a little bit, but if I put an ice pack in it, it stays cold for 8 plus hours. I love how the straps are comfortable, and has a lot of compartments!

We had this packed full for an all day event with Ice & drinks etc. It did not leak!! Woohoo!! Hard to find soft sided coolers that don't leak, but the interior material & seals are different in this one. The first thing I noticed about this lunch bag/backpack was how easy the zippers work. The one I had before had good zippers, but because of the handle being on the lid, the zipper broke. This backpack has the handle attached to the back of the bag. Plenty of pockets. I really like the extra pocket on top, in the lid. The only improvement to make is to pad the handle.
