I helped my SIL pick out elephant themed baby shower gifts. She has no kids so she didn’t know what features to look for in baby clothing. I told her the first thing is ease of use for the new mother, esp. when it’s their first baby. These are easy access by just loosening the drawstring at bottom, which make diaper changes quicker & easier. Also, they last for awhile since not form fitted size wise. Also, new first mothers to be have no idea how badly newborns scratch themselves with their fingernails. These have fold over mittens that prevent the scratching of their faces which can be quite bad. Mother to be really liked them & was pleased to hear about the use of the mittens preventing needless scratches on the babies face. This was her first baby so she had no idea that was even an issue. And also, the tip that diaper changes would be easier & faster due to one drawstring vs. many snaps. New mothers are so tired that little things like this make a difference. And since a gown vs. form fitted, it’ll last longer since babies grow fast & out grown newborn clothing quickly. ... show more

I really like everything about these sleep sacks/ pjs except that the elastic at the bottom would be better off a bit looser; they are a little hard to get over baby’s head and back up above diaper in middle of the night without struggling and waking baby. I don’t think it’s a matter of the size being wrong, as I have an 8 lb newborn and the rest of the sack is a good fit. Not a complete dealbreaker; we’re still using them and the organic cotton fabric is great and the designs are very cute, but would definitely be improved with this one change, in my opinion. ... show more

These are so soft and the print is beautiful. I can’t wait to put my little guy in them. My older children practically lived in these for the first few months just because it is sooo easy to change a sleeping babies diaper in one of these. I will be getting more in different prints.
