I initially bought it for bath time but I now take it every time we have a pediatrician appointment because they make you strip your baby down to a clean diaper and he gets a bit chilly in the winter time when they have nothing on. The material is very warm and does the job because it is thick/plush! This is easy to put on and take back off between the nurse coming in and the doctor seeing the baby. Sometimes it's a bit of a wait. Very soft material and fits my newborn great. He is now almost three months old and still fits perfectly in it. It's a cute pattern as well and matches his nursery.
