pros: Super clean finish, really didnt expect too much for the price, but this was actually impressive that they can create something that feels so high quality while being super cheap. the sound is amazing too, once you hook it up to a larger amp it really shines. got this as a cheap "travel" guitar that i wouldn't mind getting banged up and left laying around, but i actually have to buy an even cheaper one i guess cause i actually like this one. the whole kit overall was nice, i remember expecting a bunch of cheaply packaged accessories and flimsy plastic construction (which i was totally fine with for the price) but this was one of the rare times when i was like "ah nicee" when i opened each package. Well, as a first electric guitar, I'd say it's pretty good, yet again I'm not too familiar with electric guitars lol, it plays well and no fret buzz or anything so far, but the cable it came with is being picky with where it wants to go, id recommend a new cable personally, but the amp is also decent, not higher end but not too much on the low end, very solid and would recommend!!

I love my new Tostar guitar! I unfortunately I didn't get the guitar stand with my guitar, but I wasn't about to go through all the hassle of returning it because of a missing item. So after a few days, I thought there was a short in my amp, but the short was inside the plug jack input of the guitar. I removed the jack cover from the guitar and separated the wires and their connections a little further away from the jack input and now it no longer cracks when plugging in the jack cord. No big deal if I did void the warranty, I'm keeping this guitar! Quality is all over the guitar and I'd compare it to a Fender Strat in looks, quality and sound. This is perfect for a beginner, but even a pro can appreciate this guitar.

i loveee this. you should buy another amp if you want that heavy metal/ distortion/rock sound . but aside from that, im very happy that i chose this as my first guitar . i am also 15 years old and this is PERFECT for any teenagers first guitar.

This is a great guitar! I'm not joking, and would not post a positive review if I didn't mean it. I have been a guitar player for 30+ years, and own several guitars, so I have a bit of experience with them. Now, keep in mind, I am ONLY reviewing the one that I received. With some of these non-mainstream brands there are bound to be a few duds. Anyway, the fit and finish is fantastic! The roasted maple neck plays and feels great, and the fretwork is done well. (no sharp fret ends) The finish on the body is flawless, and the sculpted heel is a nice touch -- and, along with the roasted maple neck, is usually only found in much more expensive guitars. The pickups actually sound pretty good, too. (I'm not sure if they are ceramic or alnico, I haven't had a chance to peek under the pickguard yet). The output jack is on the outside edge of the body, which is also a nice feature. The tuning machines seem decent, and the guitar has stayed in tune once the strings stretched a bit. I like to tinker with, and mod less-expensive guitars, but I have had no reason or desire to change anything about this guitar -- I've just been playing it! As far as the included accessories go, the included gig bag is pretty good quality. Although it isn't super-thick, the padding is made from some pretty dense material, and should offer moderate protection at a minimum. The amp surprised me! The amp actually sounded great for its size! Both the clean and overdrive (distortion) settings sounded good! (Every other mini amp I have tried in the past has sounded like crap) The only issue with the amp is that the overall volume is low, even with the volume control set to maximum. They call it a 5-watt amp, but it is more like a 1-watt amp. It works great with a pair of headphones plugged into it, too. The other included accessories, (strap, cable, tuner, etc), are ok, and pretty average. Since I am not a beginner and have gear already, I haven't needed to use them, so I can't provide a concise review on that stuff. Overall I say that this guitar kit is a great buy! Even without the accessories, the guitar alone is worth the asking price. I would take this guitar over a Squire any day! Again, these opinions are based on the guitar kit I received...hopefully, if you buy one, you get one as good, or better.
