Very time consuming install. Kit should have had pictures and better direction, such as how to remove the factory rivets, the best, easiest way. Kit should have more bolts and nuts, as the door latch has to be removed (3 rivets) to access one of the window bracket rivets. But overall, well made and works well after install. ... show more

This was an exact fit. I am a former Ford Senior Master technician so I know how to install these regulators. The OE are riveted in so you need to know what you are doing when you install this. When removing the old regulator, you will need to drill out the old rivets. It is also best to remove the glass which means removing both the inside top edge weatherstrip and the outside door weatherstrip. This gives you greater access to replacing the regulator. You can also use tape to hold the glass in its most upward position while you finagle with the regulator installation. You will also either need to go get the installation kit from a parts store for about $10 which contains the rivets, in which case you will also need a large rivet gun, or you will need to plan on getting bolts and nuts from a hardware store. But these Crown Vic regulators are garbage from the factory, so don't expect this replacement regulator to last more than a year or so. If I get as much as a year out of it, I will be ecstatic. ... show more

Regulator worked well after installation. Hopefully it will remain reliable. The kit did not come with enough hardware. It slowed installation. I had to purchase additional hardware. There was also not enough clearance for one of the nuts when mounting the regulator motor. The motor would not allow the nut to align to the bolt and the hole in the door. I had to leave one of the fasteners out of the final assembly. ... show more
