  • Comfort, Style, and Value
Size: Large Color: Matte Black
The Torc T1 blends an exceptional mix of comfort, style, and quality at an unbeatable price. Firstly, you almost forget you're wearing a helmet, thanks to its amazing viewing angles and the comfortable fit. The matt black finish with chrome accents adds a timeless, classic look that perfectly complements my bike's style. I ride a Triumph T120 Black, so I really love a solid mix of old school aesthetics and modern functionality. Size-wise, it's spot-on. I own several other helmets, and this is by far the most comfortable one I have. While I typically wear an XL in other brands, following Torc's sizing advice led me to choose a Large, which fits perfectly. It's a stark contrast to the Bell Bullitt, which I returned after finding it uncomfortably tight on the sides of my face, even in an XL. I know this is subjective and may be remedied with thinner cheek pad inserts on other brands, but the Torc just feels good right out of the box. In terms of build and feel, the Torc T1 surprisingly outshines its pricier counterparts. It feels more upscale and modern compared to the Bullitt, yet retains a classic, simple aesthetic. It's hard to put into words, but the helmet feels premium, surpassing expectations, especially given its price point – a little over half the cost of the Bullitt. This aspect alone makes the Torc T1 feel like a steal. Ventilation is another strong suit. It vents well, ensuring comfort during rides. Though wind noise can be noticeable at speeds over 55mph, it's not terrible, and this is easily remedied with earplugs. It's an excellent helmet for around-town use. I've worn it through winter temperatures of 40-50def F and, paired with a neck gaiter and leather jacket, wind chill hasn't been an issue. To sum it up, the Torc T1 is an excellent investment in my opinion. Its combination of style, comfort, and affordability, coupled with a premium feel, makes it an easy choice. I would not hesitate to purchase this helmet again and highly recommend it. Don't be misled by its lower price compared to competitors; the Torc T1 is as premium in feel and appearance as they come, if not more. Order both and see for yourself if you don't believe me. I wish I'd saved myself the time and just pulled the trigger on the Torc initially. Cheers, and safe riding. ... show more

  • Comfortable, safe, and affordable
I got this helmet because it met my desire for safety, style, cost, comfort, and field of view. I have a large head, and got a large size that fits me well but I haven't gotten a haircut in a while so that could affect my fit. I only have 3 complaints: 1. This isn't ECE22.06 which is the newest standard. To be fair to Torc ECE22.05 was current until a few months ago so for a more budget brand that would be hard to keep up with. Still I hope they update it. 2. This helmet starts whistling a little at speeds above 40 mph. I'd hate this a lot more, but that is about as fast as my motorcycle can get up to where I take it. If you go faster you should consider this. 3. The visor fogs up. Anti-fog doesn't mean a lot here, if you ride in cold weather or come to a stop it will fog up. I think this is a good helmet that wont break the bank especially if you get it on sale at $140. The field of view is amazing, and is part of the reason I got it. ... show more

  • Great looking helmet, Non-Leather Great looking helmet, Non-Leather
Size: Small Color: Matte Black
This is my very first motorcycle helmet so I don't have a lot to compare it to. I shopped around for a lot of helmets and I really wanted two things, a wide field of view, and one that was stylish. While googling wide field of view helmets I saw the Bell Bullit and loved its style. This style is one of the few for full-face helmets that I think look really sharp. But the Bell helmet used real leather. Don't get me wrong, leather is an amazing material and most won't pay more for faux leather, but I've recently become very concerned about the welfare of animals and so I specifically googled for knock-off helmets for the Bullit with faux leather and this one came up. Personally, I think this one is even more stylish, and I really have no complaints. I bought it in matte black and I've been riding around in 90+ degree heat with the vents open and the helmet doesn't seem too hot. I love the way the visor looks when it is both up and down, and you keep your chin protection with the visor up because the visor is not connected to the chin piece like on many helmets. I got a small and the helmet fits tightly on my head, I think I measured and I was just on the border between XS and S. On the highway, I do feel a lot of wind resistance against my head at 70 mph. I don't really have anything to compare it to, but I can tolerate it just fine. My bike also has no wind screen. I've heard this helmet is less aerodynamic or louder than others, but I feel no rush to get another helmet. This one seems just fine for me. The wide field of view and styling seems to be worth whatever the cost is in aerodynamics to me. I do wear ear plugs underneath it when I am going to go on the highway, and the noise levels seem fine. My helmet is pretty snug so I have to put the ear plugs on before the helmet goes on. I can still slide sunglasses on and drink water through the visor opening though. When I take the helmet off, my flanged ear plugs usually get pulled out by the helmet lining. The only reason I'd get another helmet maybe is because I have no place to store the helmet when I get off the bike and even with earplugs out and the visor up conversation is a bit muffled, although I can still carry on a conversation in a relatively quiet room at normal speaking volume. I'm not sure any other helmets are better without being a half helmet which offers very little protection. I could see maybe using a half helmet though instead on a day where you will mostly be cruising around town at low speeds and interacting with people, so you can just wear your helmet where you go and still carry on a conversation without taking the helmet off. ... show more

  • Great Helmet but …. with some thoughts Great Helmet but …. with some thoughts
For my background with helmets I have owned several including a Bell motocross helmet and for street I have owned a Ruroc, a Scorpion, and an Arai. That being said I am really impressed with this lid. Torc is bringing it hard with this helmet.Dollar for dollar this is a good deal. I have put 60 miles on it and here is why I like it. • its a fiberglass helmet for significantly less than $300, thats impressive. • the fit and finish is really nice and the actual helmet finish is beautiful. • its ece 26 rated so its safe for a helmet with such a wide open face • on a 60 mile ride it had no discomfort on my head. • the open view is the best of any helmet I have ever owned. • the airflow is really nice. The vents are easy to open and close while riding. • while I dont know the actual weight, it was definitely not heavy and the narrow chin bar makes carrying it even more comfortable in the hand. Also they kept the chin bar tidy with a leatherette materials I am not concerned about messing anything up carrying it by the chin bar. • Torc was smart with the materials. They are not using expensive materials but they are very nice to the touch and have no chinesium stink. The stitching looks very clean. The box claims a 5 year warranty, though there was no manual to tell me more than that so time will tell. Now for the reasons I did not give five stars, none of these are really bad they are just room for improvement. Things to improve: • visor had minor optical warpage, mostly just noticeable for a few minutes then I got used to it. (Could be a fluke) or maybe not. • I would call this a “fair weather helmet” airflow was great but even with vents closed it didnt really get any less, in cold weather your face would freeze off. Also at the top of the opening for you face there is a fabric strip that covers what is maybe a seam in the beautiful chrome trim, this bit of fabric looks suspiciously like something that could wick rain into your head liner around your face, also there seems to be a lack of any kind of “weather stripping” to seal out moisture. • wish this had a pinlock but alas theres none. • wind noise is not great or terrible, probably the lack of a chin curtain, but the airflow does keep your visor from fogging. All in all I would be very hesitant to try this helmet in wet or cold conditions. • While I really like the locking feature on the visor I wish it could be locked in more than just the fully closed position. • I also dont think there would be any way to add a comms system, however I was able to Successfully wear sound cancelling ear buds for music. • Alot of people mention sizing, I have a 58mm intermediate oval head, I purchased a medium helmet and it fits fine, could be just a shade more snug but its not alarmingly loose either so I am fine with it. ... show more

  • Sizing
Nice helmet and comfortable. I find that it runs a little bigger. I normally wear a large but with the sizing I was right at the max cm for the large so I went up to an XL. Way to big so I returned that and got a large. The large fits but is not as tight as some other helmets. I probably could have gone a medium even. ... show more

  • Retro Helmet at a GREAT price
Size: Small Color: Matte Black
This review just covers the fit and aesthetics of the helmet, I will update after getting some miles on the bike. I bought this helmet after reading some of the other reviews of TORC's products and seeing that they have a good customer following for their other helmets. It's easy to do a side by side and see that this helmet is taking on the Bullitt. At half the price, you actually get some better features than the Bullitt, most notably the vents on the chin/jaw guard and the top of the helmet can be closed and opened. The fit is pretty much the same, although I have a big head for a large, and its still a little "wiggliy." That's ok though, because I usually wear a headband / beanie / handkerchief with my helmets. It's noisy on my first go, but all full face helmets tend to be. I wore a super nice $1,000 race helmet, and it was super quiet, but not worth the price. I just rock headphones or ear plugs on longer trips. The helmet is comfortable - looks awesome - and has that great field of vision that the Bullitt and Gringo offer. I would recommend this helmet if you are like me, and like the retro look, but not the ridiculous price of the Bullitt. I bought one for my wife and she likes it as well. ... show more

  • Good looking, but too big!
Size: Medium Color: Gold Metallic
Like many people, I was debating between this helmet and the Bell Bullitt. I thought I would give this one a try first, but immediately knew it was being returned. First of all, it was a beautiful helmet. The gold flake looked so much better in real life than the pictures can do justice. It was a great looking helmet, and everything else seemed to be of very good quality. I was sorry I had to spring more money for the Bullitt, by why, you ask? The problem is in the shell size itself. I have a medium sized head, and slim build, and the Torc T1 made me look like a human bobble head. It was really HUGE. So I ordered the Bullitt, to compare and make sure it wasn’t just me, and the Bell looks perfect on my head and shoulders. Apparently Bell makes 3 shell sizes, to better match small medium and extra large heads, while it seems that Torc has a “one size fits all” shell. I kinda wish I could have kept the Torc, not just for the price, but the gold flake looked so cool! And I am not a flashy guy. I would say that if you have a larger head, and body frame to go with it, you will probably be happy with the Torc. Giving it three stars seemed a little unfair at first, but with my head size the helmet was laughable and no way I was going to use it, so I couldn’t give it more than that. By the way, I got the Bullitt in a different color, but the extra money really can be seen in the quality. Most importantly, for my Medium head, it looks amazing! ... show more

Fits well! Note that this brand runs a little big. I’m usually a small but I had to return to get an extra small because it was too loose. Color is also so cute!
