Works Well and A Few Tips On Putting Together

A good, quiet, fairly well built table. I used a 5ftx30in maple butcher block on top. As you can see, we have carpet, padding over low grade flooring in our apt, so this may be responsible for some of the wobble. It's not severe or dangerous, but noticeable at standing desk height. If I knew I would not raise it/lower it, a push against the wall would be enough to stabilizes the wobble. In our current set up, I'd say most of it is the carpet and padding that provides the slight give for wobble, so I won't blame the manufacturer. That said, four legs is always more stable than inverted "T" style, so take that into consideration if you, I don't know, sit on your desk! It's smooth, quiet, does not smell, and was fairly easy to put together (just me, alone). The box came chewed up in a few spots, but the packing foam did its job. It was well packed. Of the extension bracket tabs (4), one had 1 bad weld -basically not doing anything, but it was still solid and I am not worried at all about its function (photo). The instructions were printed too small for humans and neglected a few items (the video did as well), so the tips. The black inserts (two photos) are slid into the holes on the four table-top support beams that attach to the post. These black plastic pieces will be loose and not serve any function other than allowing you to blindly insert the screw without it falling off your driver into the tube. Once those four screws are tightened, the plastic pieces serve no function. I believe there were two extras in the bag. All the bags were well labeled with the screw type needed according to the instructions. If using the extension support beams, make sure to line up the ends well so each total beam is the same length and DO NOT tighten the screws down hard -just lightly (photo). They kinda indicate this, but mostly you infer what they mean, and some might miss it in haste. These 8 screws, four each side, will be hard tightened later. Last tip is for the perpendicular beams added to the posts (last photo). I used an impact driver on medium power setting to drive all screws. If driving too hard, I can see that these screws (two each side) can deform the metal tubing. Not sure of the quality of the steel, I didn't want to take the chance of splitting the tube or bending it. Point being to be aware that the screws can deform the steel if power driving them. It's a good table support and quiet. The hanging straps for cables worked nicely to organize the underside. The cords are long enough all around. The control pad works easily and takes little space on the bottom. It is quiet to raise and lower. On price: this is a good deal (thank you China -many quality products are made!) and kept my need within a low budget (something lost in current arguments). Over the course of 3 weeks, the price was $299 or so, then it went up to $317, but with a small discount code, so it went down a bit, but I still wasn't ready, and then there was a timed sale and I purchased then and bought this solid unit for a total of $265. A steal.

Definitely go with the heavier duty version of the desk, yeah it's more but well worth it.

This sit stand frame is Top Notch. I have another one that I believe is from a different brand that isn't the heavy duty model like this one is and you can definitely tell the difference. This frame and motors are heavy duty and you can tell that it has the stronger motors in it. I work from home and needed a reliable and heavy duty Fram and this is exactly what you get. I'm 6' tall and it can go higher than what I can reliably work at. This is easy to assemble but make sure you get the spreader bars assembled the right way else you're going to be taking it apart and frustrated. Even though it was more expensive than the cheaper model it's WELL worth the extra cost. The wobble while at max usable height has a tiny bit of wobble but not where it'll be a concern. I do have a very heavy and thick top on this which I got from a desk that was at a school. I have a 32" screen and two 24" screens, a laptop and other equipment on the desk and it still goes up and down w/o any sign or sound of struggle. I now wish I would have purchased the heavier duty frame for my other sit stand desk as you can hear the difference in the motors. The size is adjustable to fit smaller or wider table tops that you must provide yourself. I'm VERY happy with my purchase.

Awesome Product Heavy Duty for Sure Honest Review

I was originally going to order the normal Topsky standing desk , but right when i was about to finish my order another option appeared for a more heavy duty version . So i went ahead and purchased this one since i was going to be using a solid wood butcher block style counter as the table top . I was very impressed with the quality of the standing desk, materials are very sturdy and feel stout . Doesn't feel like cheap thin metal . The installation was pretty straight forward , i can say the manual is not a specific model manual but more of a generic manual for Topsky standing desk legs. Either way it was pretty simple to assemble once you get rolling. I recommend having two people to make it easier since moving the parts around and aligning the holes with the heavy parts is not super easy . The metal finish is somewhat of a Satin black finish, it is not glossy nor matte which is perfect for me . I had read in the reviews on the other Topsky model that the wiring was way to short for the controller , on this one all cables were long enough for easy install and plenty of length . Just make sure to plan out correctly in the install before you screw everything in . Performance wise , i have only had it a day or two but it is working perfectly . The motors are super quiet and smooth operation. It easily moves my Butcher block countertop and everything on it with ease. Im about 5'8" and when i raise it to a standing position the table or legs barely wiggle from side to side. at the moment my table measures 64 inches and i have the legs set 2 inches from the corner on each side. I can imagine this helps on reducing the wobble motion. I raised to its max setting which definitely is to tall for me but even at its highest setting it still feels pretty solid. Packaging was very good , all parts were individually foam protected and the company gives you plenty of mounting hardware . One note on the installation, in the manual it does not mention to insert the hole guides to help you place the screws for the extension rails. I later found that viewing the video they provide in the manual , it mentions the use of the guides. Please use them, it will make guiding the screws a lot easier for install . I will update in a couple of months to see how it is still operating.

Perfect solution for a 5’2” sewist

Well constructed, quiet and a great height range. Here’s what my 5’2” wife thinks of her desk: Being a sewer and quilter for most of my adult life I’ve used various and sundry tables and or desks . None of them are comparable with the Sit/Stand desk my spouse made for me. It is fantastic! With four memory height settings I can sit at my sewing machine, stand to cut fabric and even stand to sew. It also can be used as just a desk for writing and other activities. It’s easy to use, quiet and reliable. It has helped prevent back and other issues by creating comfortable work zones. Everyone in the family can also use it as I am almost the smallest person here but they can adjust it to fit their height. I use it every day and really love it.

Ignore the operation manual and look for YouTube to set up

After one day this seems like a very sturdy set of standing desk legs. It seems to work quite well, is smooth, and doesn't appear to struggle with my heavy desk. If you manage to get thru the installation, you'll probably be fine. However, the instruction guide was severely lacking: a few diagrams with brief descriptions, but many of the parts are not shown, nor are they explained in the guide. For example, you'll see something about toggling the gyro off/on in the manual, but no other mention of it. What is it? Why would I want to toggle it on/off? Read on. After assembling mine and adapting a desk to use, the "up" movement stopped after a couple of inches. It turns out that the gyro is pretty sensitive to its horizontal position. In my case, the gyro thought either the desk was running into an obstacle, or it was not level. Note that the controller should be mounted horizontally. The fix was easy (except looking for the simple solution wasn't): just hold the button on the side of the control unit until the light blinks twice and turns off. That turns the gyro off, and after that, all is well. Another gripe is that the instructions to mount the power brick, controller, and cabling says, in effect, "do what you want to make the cables work," with no tips or advice. There are several anchors that come with the unit that are very useful, but I was wondering what the large velcro thing was for (I used it to fasten the power brick to the underside of the desk). A somewhat minor nit: if you lose power, you must do a manual reset. After that, if your controller thinks the desk is running into something (or is not level - see above/gyro), you have to crawl under the desk to press the magic button so that the lift works properly again. Word to the wise - you may want to ensure you mount the controller so that you have easy access to the magic button! So keep the manual just in case you forget how to reset, etc., but you can pretty much ignore it and watch a YouTube video to install this. Trust me, you'll be much happier!

Just Buy It (you won't be disappointed)

This sit-stand desk frame is built like a tank and is an exceptional value, both of which are important to me. It is well-designed, well-constructed, and really sturdy. Thought was certainly put into every aspect of this frame - including packaging, which is robust, as well. Each piece is fully protected with a polyethylene (?) cutout while nuts, bolts and other pieces are well-labeled. The high-quality packaging itself is a solid indicator that they pay attention to detail and that, once assembled, the end product will not disappoint. And it does not. (I was so pleased with it that, after the unboxing and assembly, I purchased a 2nd one a couple weeks later, for another build.) They do their best with the operational manual, which is adequate, but - Pro Tip - scan the code and watch the step-by-step video, which does the trick and makes it super easy. Otherwise, the movement is smooth, the powder coat on the black frame gives it a refined finish, and the range of movement is more than sufficient. It is a beast, in the best sense: combining robust construction with a refined look and feel - powered by two big motors that run quiet. Add some wheels to it, as I did, and your home office as well will be the envy of your friend group!

I bought one of the new standing/sitting desks from Ikea ikea for work. Thing was way over priced but thats because I hadnt done any research. The thing broke within a day. Went online and found some ideas on ordering the frame and table tops seperately. After a little research I really liked this item and decided to buy it a long with a table top I found online that was 60 x 30 and 50lbs. So this thing was bigger than the ikea desk and stronger with a 300lb weight capacity. And wait for it.. About $200 cheaper with the table top purchase included. Now I'm assuming it for the ease of construction that the ikea desk was more expensive. Honestly if you have a little more time to measure and get all the wires managed with the mounting clips provided with the frame. You can have more control over how everything is routed. I would recommend this route for anyone trying to get a good standing/sitting desk. Unless you got the extra money burning a whole in your pocket and dont care for the few extra steps with measuring, get this and save yourself a buck. Ikea desk was about $850 in total. This frame plus the table top ordered seperatley was about $600 in total. But I sprung for a nice wood for the table top. If you are patient you can find some solid wood table tops actually from Ikea for $99. So not bad there. Still saving a pretty penny either way.

Wobbly and shaky customer service

Don't waste your money. Good standing desks cost more for a reason. This frame was wobble city even at sitting height (yes I assembled correctly and the desk was on hardwood). Even moving the mouse would cause my monitor to wobble. When I submitted a return, they expected me to pay a 15% fee + $30 charge. Not only that, but their return label didn't include postage and I was expected to pay a $180 shipping fee. Terrible experience.
