It’s painful as a woman to lose hair for any reason. The Toppik spray is easy to apply. I dry the sprayed area on low for about 2-3 seconds. It doesn’t come off until you rinse it out and shampoo. I hold my section of hair up in the air, to see better, and focus on the root areas. It’s amazing how much volume you can achieve. If you’re concerned about your scalp showing, you can use a lighter color spray on it. This takes the eye’s focus away. It works! Only spray on dried hair. You can place hair on a round brush, spray with flexible hair spray, and dry on low for a few seconds to ensure hold. You learn tricks with practice. Instead of feeling bad about your situation, I recommend using this “all in one product” to make yourself feel good again! My hair is very fine, and it works perfectly. You need to purchase a large hand mirror to check your head for where you need to apply the Toppik. The cost is a little high, but it’s worth feeling better in public. There are things that you have no control over in life. This is a safe, reliable way to change your look! From my heart, I highly recommend learning to use this spray! It’s sincerely worth it!

Pros: Have used Toppik for years. I think it's a bit expensive, however, you do get a good amount. I use every other day, therefore, I use quite a bit. This product does NOT contain hair fibers - it's a color but if you're looking to hide areas on your scalp that are beginning to lose hair and showing through when you where your hair up or down, this will work. You need to play with it and see how it works best for you. Don't spray too close or you will apply too much product. I would not go without this. Cons: It over sprays (no matter how lightly you press) and everything on my counter and in my bathroom gets covered by the spray. It does not spray DRY, it comes out WET and you need to pull back the can so you don't get drips on your scalp.

I bought this for the sole purpose of camouflaging the crown of my scalp where my hair is thinning. It does a pretty good job of that. I don't have any grey hair so I'm not sure how effective it is as a root spray to cover that, but my guess would be it does pretty good for that too. Being a 36 y/o female, I can't believe I'm dealing with such extreme and noticeable thinning on the top of my head. It has been so bad that I have very rarely worn my hair down for the last three years, as I was always worried people standing/ sitting behind me were staring at my bald spots. There was just no hiding my scalp no matter how much back combing and hairspray I used. Not to mention that doing that was just destroying what little hair was left. Now, I leave my hair down quite often and don't have to feel self conscious. It really gives the impression that your hair thickness is even everywhere. I've had friends inspect closely to see how noticeable it might be and no one can tell! It did take me messing around a little to figure out the best way to apply, but now I've got it down. It feels like hair spray, so I learned you want to spray it after you've styled and not before. If you scratch your head where this is, it will get on your fingers, but I've gone to bed without washing it out and it doesn't get on the pillow. It comes out really easy with shampoo and doesn't leave your wet hair a tangled mess. I bought two different shades (light brown and medium brown) and both blend equally well. I just recently got some blonde foiled in and I was worried that the spray would be noticeable with highlights but to my surprise it still blends really well!!! I will definitely be buying more of this in the future. Well worth it for my self confidence!!

I have used the fibers before, and they were ok, but struggled to find the right color. My hair color is a light brown-dirty blonde, but much lighter on top, in the front. I have lost a lot of hair there, so the blonde colors looked too yellow, and browns looked like I had dirt on my scalp. This spray has really worked out much better, and love the Light Brown color. Initially, I did not like how quickly the product comes out, but after using it a few times, I got the feel for the right pressure to use. I do some styling first, spray, let it dry, and then do a light brush to finish. What stopped me from giving it 5 stars is that it is a bit runny and drips. I always rinse the nozzle and wipe clean when finished. Overall really happy with product!

It's too dark for my dark blonde/light brown hair. Too bad they don't make it or I can't find it in a lighter shade. Other than the match it seems to be a good product.

I bought this one to compare with the hair building fiber. Visually, the results from this spray are better: it completely covered the crown and the front of the hair looks very good; but if you rub your hand on your hair it will come off. As it dries out, it reduces, but still comes off. If you plan on using a white shirt or something, and you start sweating I have questions if it will not stain. But I would still recommend for 1 day use like a wedding, party, etc; for daily use it is not that practical because it is way easy to come off. For daily, I will continue using the hair building fibers.

I love this stuff! It makes a huge difference on the visibility of my scalp. It also adds weight and an all over resistance to movement, I'm not saying this is good or bad, as it depends on the situation. There is more product with this brand, than I have been able to find in other brands which is nice. I will definitely be purchasing this again. I would love to see this available in a lighter color, maybe some blonde. The downside, and reason for four stars is because it does rub off on whatever touches your head. Hands, bushes, combs, clothes, etc. Your hair and scalp will still look fine, but whatever touched you will have product on it visibly. I have been able to counter this somewhat by combining with dry shampoo spray.
