This is a heavy table and appears to be very sturdy. I own a bunch of cats that like to jump on it so the bottom heavy base keeps the table from being knocked over. It doesn't move or sway if a cat jumps on top. Not that I allow them on tables/counters but they are cats so it happens. They only thing I do not like about this table is the top. There are deep grain lines on it similar to the surface of a Ruffles potato chip. I love the detailed design of the base. I bought this used so there was some chipped paint at the top of the hydrant. Amazon gave a generous discount when I called about it. I found some fingernail polish in the same blue color and covered the exposed steel. It blended in well. The media could not be loaded. I LOVE the look of this table and bought the accompanying chairs. I like the way they LOOK, but they are quite wobbly. The 'spin to raise and lower' design makes this most likely a necessary evil. I use it for a podcast table, and when the mics are set on the table, the wobble looks bad on camera and can make noise on the mics.
