I’ve been using a standing desk for 2 months due to an injury that makes it difficult to sit. The standing desk gave me my life back, until my feet started to ache at the end of the day. I looked into shoes designed for standing all day but I didn’t want to be locked in to one shoe style. Upon deeper research I started looking into mats. At first I found the standard “kitchen” style for restaurant workers but wasn’t sold. When I saw the Ergo mat I stopped immediately because of the shape, irregular with some ridges. It was more expensive but the reviews were almost all 5’s. I gave it a go, as I have found investing in quality products is less expensive and more beneficial in the long game. When I first received it I worked with shoes on for a few hours. I work from home so I decided to go barefoot. Game changer. I have to say it again, this mat is a game changer. The design encourages calf stretches and heel lifts due to the design. It is much larger than I realized giving me options for foot placement. It is also hefty. At the end of a work day instead of having aching feet I feel energized. Honestly, it’s really fun to stand on and I smile more which is always a good thing! The mat is very well constructed, and appears very durable. I purchased the blue mat and did not have any of the issues of slipping like the other reviews. Unfortunately, the mat was a little stiff for me. I have very bad arthritis in my feet and needed something a little softer. if you have minimal feet issues, I think this would be a great working mat for standing long periods. I gave it a five star review because the problem is not with the mat. ... show more

This mat is just what I needed for my standing desk set up. I'm a college professor so I am constantly going between long periods of standing and then needing to sit to speak with students. This easily glides under my desk when not in use and then comes back out when needed. My only complaint is that it had a strong smell when first unboxed and my office is enclosed without great ventilation so it was difficult to get the lingering smell out. ... show more

This is different from any other anti fatigue mats I’ve used. The material is firm but has pressure relieving give. Because it’s not flat, you can change your stance, apply pressure to you feet and allows you to move in more natural ways throughout the day. It is a definite win for me!

I knew from all the reviews that this wouldn’t disappoint, but until you physically stand on this thing it’s difficult to describe just how satisfying it is. I have a higher pile carpet situation so balance boards were sort of out of the question. I mean they would still work but in a reduced way. This put a mat like this at the top of my list. I didn’t want a traditional mat because that’s boring. This terrain style mat is a home run on that end. I opted for the larger size because I’m 6’3” so no-brainer there. The product arrived timely and was well packed and protected. Build quality seems high. Absolutely a treat to stand on. When I first stepped on it my ankles and feet instantly started stretching and cracking. There are many position possibilities I can easily see hours of standing without fatigue and getting bored. I would honestly pay double the price for the same product. You can’t even put a price on something like this. Work from home setups deserve the very best comfort possible.
