I bought a pair of these shelves for the garage to replace some wall mounted shelving that was getting a bit cramped. I didn't expect much considering the price I paid, but I was relatively pleased with what arrived. The fitment of the legs and brackets was pretty good, and it assembled quickly. Where the vertical legs join is one particularly weak spot. Having a shelf close to this joint is helpful, to keep things in place. The plastic bits arent particularly useful, but theyre there if you want em. The biggest downside to these sheves are the MDF. Its barely 1/8 inch. And for some reason, three of the ten sheets were a slightly different thickness than the others. The shelves are rated at a comical 385 lbs each. I plan to use 1/10 of that. I might try 1/5 of that if I have something nice and evenly distributed, but dont expect to place 385 lbs of weight lifting plates on a shelf, I suspect it will crumple like a tin can. But I expect these shelves will do just fine with a couple hundred pounds evenly distributed throughout the entire unit, but not per shelf. But for the price, you'd be hardpressed to find a better deal. ... show more

1 day late, no tracking for some reason Yet delivered by UPS[brown truck] adjustable feature and price made me order. 2 days before Amazon Prime Day day they were $18 cheaper ! SO HAPPY I DIDN'T WAIT FOR PRIME DAY no words in instructions at all. the tiniest of pictures. i took the better part of 1 week emptying my room, floor , de-ciphering instructions. finally got a 2nd opinion on assembly before i started to build. [metal tabs instead of screws don't look like they will come apart/go back together willingly or without breakage which will compromise integrity of unit's whole purpose] assembly on 1st set took about 2-3 hours yesterday. today however is assembly of 2nd set And for some reason they are just not "sliding into" place willingly. tabs KEEP going over the 2nd slot, even knife/screwdriver to widen the slots is Still Not helping. its been 11 freaking hours and i still can't get the 4 posts to "slide" into place properly to even form the base. then how the hell am i going to keep playing around with the other shelves once i have finally got base to assemble correctly. i am very close to taking the 1 completed assembly apart and shipping this back and tell them what they can do with their cheap shelves. SO HAPPY I DIDN'T WAIT FOR PRIME DAY, edit: on 2nd set,2nd day[after 11 hr nightmare ,5 hours after SLOWLY tapping 1 side , then other side on each piece. No Idea why so different,1st set just slid in place.i do not trust 348lbs per shelf ... show more

Despite the box arriving torn and in horrible shape (believe that is due to the shipping company and no reflection of the seller), everything was together and nothing broken or bent. There were no instructions in my box, unsure if that was an error or if it does not come with instructions. I went on YouTube and found a tutorial for another brand of metal shelving unit and pieced mine together. Went together very simply - I was able to put both together myself in about 45 minutes. Very nice, sturdy selves for storage. Would buy again! ... show more

This shelving is very light weight. Also, make sure you read the dimensions. I had looked at so many shelving units that I missed how narrow this unit is. If I was paying $50 for the set, I would have considered it a great purchase. However, at $90, I wish I had just gone to a local hardware store and bought a larger, sturdier unit. ... show more

Flattening the tabs with a hammer helps, but you will still need a screwdriver to guide tabs into slots. It takes about 8 hours to assemble one shelf, so allow 2 days for assembly.
