There is not a surface made that this suction cup will stick to, there is a weak spring just for looks to flip on and stabilize the stand it does not hold or even come close to stabilize anything. I tried marble, mirror, glass, Formica surfaces it did not hold on the counter, on the wall or floor. I tried several ways of setting the heavy mirror face with light ring down adjusting it to be stable, no such luck. I absolutely love the light! am not crazy about 10X , but I do love the bend on the adjustable gooseneck and couldn't help but fiddle with it. My hubby walked in and saved the day when he handed me a new heavy plant pot, terra cotta finish. I put the lamp bottom inside and he poked foam down in it, Voilà the switch and batteries go behind the mirror (which is why it is so heavy) so no problem turning on and off. Now I can turn it up rotating the mirror or pull it forward or back with the clever heavy duty gooseneck. ... show more

This is a great no distortion mirror. And the suction cup was very strong. Unfortunately, the gooseneck wasn't strong enough to hold the mirror up straight, no matter what position I tried to put it in. The mirror just constantly sagged and faced down to the floor. Very disappointing. 😕

I have purchased several of these for personal use and gifts. Because they all look very similar, I assumed that they were all from the same manufacture in China.
