  • Very detailed and awesome model car.
Pattern Name: Toy - Time Machine
High quality, same as the movie; it even has the lights once you press the button in the back of the car. A must to have if you like to collect retro movies icons.

  • Nicely detailed, solidly built collectible for the sci-fi/fantasy vehicle collector.
Pattern Name: Toy - Time Machine
I have been putting together a small collection of 1/18 & 1/24 die-cast replicas of famous cars from ERTL & JADA (Speed Racer's Mach-5, Racer-X's Shooting Star, the 1966 Batmobile, Ghostbusters' ECTO-1, etc.) and the DeLorean Time Machine was a logical addition to my fleet. I received the BTTF Part 3 vehicle (the one with the white wall tires) as a gift last Christmas and after looking at the package was surprised to see that there were a total of 4 versions of the Time Machine released, one for each film, except for Part 3 which has the white-wall tire version and one with the railroad wheels. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the vehicle from BTTF Part 2 sports wheels that can be manually flipped horizontally to simulate the 'hover' configuration. It is even mounted in above the inner surface of the box in a 'nose-up' orientation and with the wheels flipped down to suggest levitation. This works well for those who intend to display their vehicles in the box. Both Time Machines I now own are built solidly. The body is all die-cast metal finished to look like the DeLorean's stainless steel body. The gull-wing doors are die cast as well. Both doors open and the hinges have more than tight enough to sllow the doors to be displayed open at any angle. Unlike most other JADA vehicles, the hood does not open, though this is not a concern. The wheels spin freely, and in the case of the Part 2 vehicle, the hinges to flip the wheels from 'hover' to 'drive' are also hold the wheels rigidly in place however they are configured. The Part 2 & 3 vehicles both display the futuristic silver & orange bar-code license plate while the Part 1 vehicle has the California "OUTATIME" plate. The under-carriage of the vehicles are black plastic. The battery cover is located here. The blue light features on the front and rear of the vehicles are activated by the press of a button on top of the rear detailing and remain on for 10 seconds. The 'greeblies' on the rear of the vehicles (reactor, exhaust vents, etc.) are highly detailed and appear screen-accurate, including the white "Mr. Fusion" tower on the Part 2 & 3 vehicles. The logo printing is small but readable. I do not recommend this vehicle for play, particularly not for small children. This is a collectible and should be used for display only. Perfect for shelf or showcase display, or for desk/office 'swag'. This a well-built, highly detailed collectible. JADA has done a great job on this and other vehicles. ... show more

  • Great addition to any equipment room.
Pattern Name: Toy - Time Machine
This is a great addition to my equipment room. My only complaint is, I wish the flex capacitor led light stayed on longer. Ten seconds is hardly enough time to show it off. But, a solid build and love the detail for the money. Was also boxed and shipped well.

  • Strong Construction
Pattern Name: Toy - Time Machine
This thing is tough! The die-cast construction makes it durable. The way it lights up is really awesome too. The attention to detail is impeccable. Definitely recommended!

  • Where we're going, we don't need roads!
Pattern Name: Toy - Time Machine
This Jada 1:24 Diecast Back to the Future 2 Time Machine is AWESOME!!! Well worth the $20 I paid for it 2 years ago. I've seen it going for $35-50 at some places. The wheels fold to make it look like it flies. A cool blue LED light up, doors open just like you'd expect. All is great with this piece from Jada. Best looking model I've seen from them. ... show more
