I have used Apple leather cases for years. I recently got a new iphone XS and was disappointed in Apple's leather case because it was too "slippery". Previous Apple cases had just the right about of tackiness that I wanted. Not too sticky, just a little bit. I ordered this case and have used it for just a few days but I am very pleased with it so far. The feel is great, just what I was looking for. The fit is good. Some comments have mentioned the camera hole cut out, the case I received fit well but the camera hole was very slightly off center (just a tiny bit). This in no way affects the overall fit or the camera function. I would recommend this case and would purchase it again in the future. I cannot comment on durability but will update post if there are any problems. Update August 2019 After using this case for 4 months, I continue to be very happy. I keep phone in my pocket and mostly protected but it has help up very well. No signs of wear at all. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a low cost substitute for apples leather case Update March 2022 I have now used this case for nearly 3 years and it is time to get another one. It has protected my iphone Xs perfectly. I did drop it on the corner recently and the phone was fine, but the case split open on that corner and is peeling away. I came back to this site to see if they were still offered and I am pleased to see that they are. I will be ordering another. As mentioned, I keep my phone in my pocket and it remains pretty well protected, but to get three years out of a leather case is very good in my opinion (other than the drop I mentioned, the case is really not showing many signs of wear at all). I’ve purchased a leather case before and noticed the sides got super dark from hand oils over time. This time I used a leather protector (one that protects shoes from weather) and it still looks great after 4-5 months of having it on my phone. I’ve also dropped my phone a few times and my phone is still looking good as new. (I do always have a screen protector on too though!) ... show more

Update: Have to hand it to the company's customer service. Within a day of posting about receiving a sadly broken case, they arranged to replace it. The new case arrived in perfect shape, fits like a glove, and like the original has a great color to it. Looking forward to seeing what this looks like with a nice patina after some use! I'm still a little concerned that the case feels like it might eventually crack if you take it off/put it on often, but that's the trade-off with thin cases, and for the price I'm prepared to accept it. Would absolutely recommend this case, especially given the seller's prompt response and willingness to replace the original, no questions asked. Original post: Ordered this case looking for a decently priced alternative to Apple's leather case for my iPhone X, and was arrived when I opened it this evening. I'd love to give this a better review--the leather is nice and I think it holds up pretty well to Apple's case based on appearance and feel--but it arrived broken. The presumably plastic body beneath the leather was cracked around the hole for the ringer/silent switch. At first I thought it was just a loose fit in that corner, but on closer inspection I can feel the break. The fact that it arrived like this is concerning, and I'm not sure what kind of mileage someone would get out of this case. Again, the feel is quite nice, but if it's that briddle I have to wonder if it would last having the phone removed more than a few times. ... show more

I decided to purchase this case as a cheaper alternative to the Apple iPhone XS leather case, which retails for $49 on the website. It got delivered to my mailbox in a small wooden box, which I was pleasantly surprised by (you can look at my photos for reference). The leather feels smooth to the touch and is perfect as I’d been for a minimal design. Having the microfiber lining is a plus as I’d been concerned about scratching the back of the XS. It also has silver aluminum but it may look slightly gold in the photos because of the warm color balance in the room. The only flaw that I see on this case is the significant gap space for the iPhone camera as it’s slightly too big in the upper area of the camera. I also had a hard time fitting it onto the case the first time I tried to put it on but it became easier after the second & third. I’ll have to see how well it does over time and will edit my review to reflect so. ... show more

I bought this for my iPhone X. It fits nicely, and looks really good. I have no complaints about the appearance or fit. The color I got (brown) is fantastic. The metal button inserts work well and look nice. My problem with it is that I find it to be too slippery. I seriously have a hard time even picking it up. My skin tends to be very dry which makes the problem much worse, and not just for this product. I drop everything these days. It's one of those 'middle-age' issues you face... I'm going to apply some saddle soap a couple times to see if it will soften up and give a little more grip. If that doesn't work, maybe some leather golf grip product... ... show more
