    • Great For Small Engines
For years I struggled with inline fuel filters and fuel lines on small engines. The barbs on the stems are always welded in the fuel line. These little gems make short work of removal. Just wedge the jaws between the filter and the hose end, and squeeze the pliers. Pops right off. Works great on vacuum lines too. No damage and a real time saver.     • Good hose remover pliers. Inexpensive, but at the high end of comparable products
Living in a rural area, there is a good deal of gasoline and diesel powered equipment in use. Each unit requires maintenance to perform well and to last, which means a lot of inline fuel filter changing. Fuel lines tend to form around filter inlets and outlets and become hard to remove even with the clamps moved back and out of the way. The Toolwiz Automobile Hose Remover Pliers jaws are thin enough to fit between the fuel filter body and the fuel line, but stout enough to easily remove even the strongest gripping tubing without damaging hose or filter. I mentioned they are at the higher end of the price range for hose remover pliers, but I can't speak to the quality of those with a lower price. ... show more

    • Not perfect but what is?
They are sturdier than they look and actually do help a lot i many cases. Like all things they aren't ideal for every situation but they work well enough for me to say they where worth the purchase for what I do. I work a lot with 1/4", 5/16", and 3/8" marine fuel, oil and water hoses that connect to barbed fittings and are generally harder to get off without cutting than automotive hoses. If the hose is long enough to cut and reconnect or easy enough to replace the entire hose that is OK but if the hose replacement will cost much more time and, marine fuel hose is a lot more expensive than automotive hose, this tool can help a lot. I am not sure just what type of hose they are actually designed for but for my use they help. ... show more
