Beware of boob-tube videos that make welding aluminum look easy. I can run a practice bead that "looks" ok but have not be able to join two pieces of aluminum together no matter what settings I use. Maybe the problem is me but I believe a machine from a more reputable company would serve me better. It might be good to be able to practice with a "cheap" machine such as this if you have access to one without having to spend $300, otherwise, spend more.

My welder broke after 5 months of heavy use. The Customer support from tooliom was excellent. They took some information and provided some trouble shooting steps. They determined that my welder needed a repair and sent me a new one!! Fantastic support! well done!

Overall a great unit. I purchased the unit for pulse mig but was a little disappointed to see the manual states that pulse is not available with the spool gun ;( There is a connector inside that lights up an indicator on the panel when using the spool gun. This prevents you from using pulse with the spool gun but if you disconnect this connector you CAN use pulse withthe spool gun. You lose the indicator light on the panel showing "Spool Gun" but I would rather have pulse than indicator
