I have been eyeing this duvet set for over a year and finally decided to purchase and I am so glad I did! It is a beautiful set that fits the preppy coastal theme I was going for in my master bedroom. The colors are muted, which is what I wanted because I like neutral colors. I washed and dried it before stuffing it with my comforter and it came out a little wrinkly but that’s not a big deal to me. Still it's an amazing sleep aid but I needed to dress up my room and wanted to go coastal.... LOL. This duvet cover is stiff but remarkably soft in its own right. Just not as cozy as my oldie. So I spread this cover over the top of my old standby (kind of like a bedspread). At night I fold this beauty back and sleep with old faithful near my skin. This cover came out of the package unwrinkled and looks crisp and sharp on my bed. It truly is breathtaking, understated, yet the aura is relaxing and peaceful. Love it!!! The colors are perfect shades for our main bedroom of blue, kaki, and off-white Although the entryway to insert a comforter or blanket has buttons/buttonholes rather than a zipper, it's not a deal breaker for us. I purchased the king size comforter set and it came with standard shams instead of king. Amazon helped me by compensating a bit - so I purchased this duvet cover set. It did come with the correct shams and I used the fabric to make curtains and an extra tan pillow. Turned out great - I would say so myself. lol. The fabric is really a nice and heavy, yet soft.
