I onl had 2 small issues with these shoes (after my first use). I replaced a pair of Carnac Ellipses with these shoes, hoping they had a tall and wide toe box. I was not disappointed with the fit in the forefoot, especially after adding a pair of orthotic arch supports (Superfeet), which had very little added volume in the forefoot. The insoles that came with the shoes offered very little arch support, especially for someone with high arches - easily surmountable problem. The second issue is getting used to the way the upper fits. These shoes do not have any padding under the tongue of the shoe, and you have to be careful about making sure the entire tongue is under the sides of the shoe when putting them on and tightening the Velcro straps. Will have to wait and see about how they last - my Carnacs were over 10 years old, more than 10,000km! ... show more

I purposely bought them because they had laces since I find Velcro bared shoes loose their ability to hold after a couple of months. Overall a good road bike shoe at a good price. I use it with SPD cleats and unlike my previous shoes these are NOT walkable -- the SPD cleats are not recessed. Something you should be aware of.

I have an issue with one foot that is often swollen. The tie-up shoes are better suited to work well with my wider feet. Used look pedals and now have SpeedPlay. Shoes work fine with either. Size 48 is a little long though.

Fits about right but toes a little cramped. I knew that from reading another review, and I have wide feet. It should be okay for you unless you have very wide feet. My Speed Play fittings work very well with the shoe. The straps hold on tight.
