My little 10lbs Maltese fit perfectly in this sling carrier. She was so comfortable that she fell asleep in it! Being a small dog, she normally barks at every dog and stranger that comes towards her (small dog owners know what I mean). BUT my little Maltese stayed calm in her sling and didn't care who or what came near her. Im happy this sling calms her down. Who knew this thing would have that benefit? ... show more

It was too large for my dog. Honestly, it felt like a had a cotton sweat pant over my shoulder. I got the medium and it’s so big. I felt hot with that cloth attached to my body. I plan to return it and maybe get a smaller size to see if the “sweat pant” feel diminishes. My dog ( 4 month yorkie)did get in it , no problem, it was comfortable for her, I am unsure if it is leak proof, we just friend it on. ... show more

This is one of those Amazon purchases where I don’t understand how it could cost so little. Just the fabric to make this would cost more than the cost of this sling. Even though the shoulder strap is not adjustable, I find that more comfortable across my shoulder. I am 5 foot 4, and Because I have a large belly right now, the area in which the dog lies is a little bit resting high on my belly instead of flat against my side. For that reason, obese or large bosomed people might find the strap short or feel it a little bit small, but the construction is excellent and the ability to move it to different parts of your upper body and across the back of your shoulders is manageable because the strap is wide and comfortable. The sling part itself is extremely well-made. The lining is smooth and the little toes and toenails can’t get caught on the totally smooth lining fabric because it cannot snag. That was an extremely thoughtful thing to do. I love that Somebody realized that they don’t want any little toes and toenails getting damaged or hurt because then the dogs will not want to sit in the carrier, and that they took the time to line this so beautifully so that the outside is soft, discreet cotton, and the inside is slippery and cool and safe. I thought the snaps were a nice touch, there are three plastic snaps that go across the top of the carrier to keep the dog safe inside, but there is enough room for the dog to poke their head out of one of the openings and still not fall out. The reason why these plastic snaps are so thoughtful is they make very little noise, unlike the Velcro that is used for many carriers, which is terrifyingly loud and scary for dogs to hear so close to their heads. The fact that the snaps are plastic may or may not make them more durable, I don’t know, but They certainly won’t rust when you wash it. And they don’t have any sharp edges. They make the carrier very easy to open and close. You can glance down and see your pet very easily even if they’re lying down at the bottom. I love that There is a phone pocket! You can’t even buy a phone carrier for this price. So in some ways you’re getting a phone carrier with a free dog carrier attached lol. The fabric is so soft, which is very important for me because I have a nerve condition and I cannot stand fabrics that itch or are artificial. This is a soft light gray cotton. It is not stretchy, which actually makes it sturdier and less likely to dig into your back or shoulder and more likely to sit properly. I washed it in cold water today and let it air dry, it dried very quickly and it did not shrink. It is very lightweight which is super important because I am elderly, and cannot carry any weight other than my dog. I love this dog carrier and I never feel like I love what I get from Amazon it’s either tolerable or I accept it or I just give it away. This surprised me and made me want to share. By the way, my dog is a two-year-old 5 1/2 pound Chihuahua. I got the small. I don’t know if I had gotten a larger size if the strap would’ve been longer. Perhaps only the carrying part would have been larger. Depending on your dog’s age and personality, that will determine how comfortable they are lying in the sling, but as soon as you start moving, whether or not you’re cleaning the kitchen , and you don’t want to leave them when they’re feeling sick, or they’re just a baby, or you just need the comfort of a warm animal against your body, this is definitely the carrier to get. I’ve wasted money on other things, this is a purchase I’m finally proud of. I hope it works for you too. This is my fourth dog carrier and the only one i am keeping. The others were too cumbersome, or the dog could not lie down at the bottom and sleep, or the angle was wrong, and they were all more expensive! Thank you to the company for thinking of all the details and making this so affordable. The only suggestion I would make for improvement is to not sew that care tag that all fabric items have into the bottom of the lining. It’s visually discreet because it’s on the inside however, it doesn’t feel soft. I wish that it had been sown elsewhere so that it has no contact with my animal’s body. And lastly, this carrier does not have that awful chemical smell that so many things have. It has no smell at all. I think this is gonna last the lifetime of my pet, and I hope that’s a very long time. Happy snuggly days ahead to us all! 🙂 UPDATE: I found that after washing this carrier, the tag inside was soft. No longer stiff. And I attached a video so you can see I took my guy whale watching with me and it was perfect. I forgot i had it on. I stood with him for 4 hours on the windy boat and he was fine the whole time inside. (Ok watch the video, maybe we won’t go again lol.) ... show more

This sling is great! It is roomy, soft, comfortable, and offers great support! Very good, versatile design for an animal sling. This review is based on the size: "M w/ zipper pocket & adjustable strap" Size — My robust chihuahua is over 10 lbs and it fits her perfectly. There's just enough room for her to fit snug with a baby blanket, as well. The top opens wide to allow easy access and can then be clipped together. The sling is also soft and easily foldable for storage. Support — The bottom of the sling is rounded like an egg, so she can sit upright, stand, or lay down and it always suits her. In other bags or blanket wraps, she'll sometimes stiffen because she doesn't feel supported, but this sling allows her to completely relax. The wide strap also allows good support for the wearer, and prevents the sling from swinging around. An adjustable option is provided in the size selection. Comfort — The material is soft and layered. The strap does not cause any discomfort to my shoulder and the sling is very comfortable for the animal. For carrying heavier dogs or for people with smaller shoulders, it may be more comfortable if you add a strap pad. For me, the default strap is perfect! Extras — The sling has a nice zipper pocket that can fit a bag of treats, doggie bags, a even a phone. The bag also has an adjustable and detachable leash strap for fixing the dog to the sling. This offers good security for when you're outside and prevents your dog from taking off if they fall or jump out of the sling. If you use this leash attachment, make sure it is always attached to the harness of your animal, not the collar!
