Good price. I like the plastic better than MDF for sure. Great to be able to pick your shape. BUT they are fiddly. Some pieces will break, but they do send extras. Not sure we'd be able to take them apart and put them back together though.

I like it, I didn't realize what the material was though I thought it was more plastic. Very hard to put together, the hammer doesn't help you have to use full body weight to snap those little pieces on.

I bought this for my daughter to hold her stuffed animals and it's a goof sturdy shelf. I but there was only enough pieces for 8 & 1/2 cubes when it is advertised as a 9 cube shelf.
