Comes with all the hardware you need to mount your miter saw. The mounting brackets have feet, so if you want to use your saw on a bench sometime, it sits well on a flat surface when it's not mounted to the stand. I have an older (80's?) Craftsman model that has a triangular base (3 mounting holes instead of 4). So I had to bolt it to a piece of 1/2" plywood, then attach the brackets to the wood. Works just fine. Stand folds up pretty quickly, and is much lighter and more compact than other miter stands. Fits easily in the cargo area of my small SUV, crossways. Takes up less floor space than one with wheels. I bought the stand right before Christmas, but because I did not use my saw until February, I did not have a need to set up the stand. I wish I had because I would have returned it. In many ways the stand does exactly what it is supposed to, but the issue I had was with the threading and quick turn bolts for the "adjustable" portions of the stand. All of the bolts were a bad fit with their respective holes (I tried different ones to make sure they were not specific) and two of the 4 bolts did not thread in at all, and instead got stuck to the point that the plastic top portion tore and decoupled from bolt so it would just spin uselessly. I had to use WD40 to get the two bolts that did sort of thread in to fit, and then use 2 additional hex bolts to keep the two other parts bolted down. There is still a lot of give with them and I am still afraid of using either the side stability rollers at an elevated height or the main bar extenders since the design has the weight bearing mounting poles for all the parts on a single side and so has a tendency to droop on the non-weight bearing side. I use this with a small 7 1/4 miter saw and that's about all I would put on this honestly. The little metal spring clip parts that make the quick attach work fell out the very first time I used this and I lost them within a week, so I wouldn't trust this with the weight of a real 10" or 12" miter. I like the weight of this, its nice and compact but still really stout but the quick attach fell short for me, Id grab some better quality quick attach and just use the body. ... show more

After years of using a bulky, difficult to move miter saw stand I made myself, I finally bought the Tomax miter saw stand. It folds up so nicely for storage, it's relatively lightweight so it's easy to move around and take with me when needed, and it does its job very well! There was a slight issue with one of the adjustment knobs, but I contacted customer service and they got right on it and helped fix my issue quickly and efficiently! It's rare that I ever call CS, and when I do it's rare that I have a good experience. This was amazing - I'll definitely be looking to see what else Tomax may sell that I may not know I need yet... ... show more

I bought this miter stand specifically because I had very little room in my very mini work van. I use the stand with a 10" sliding compound miter saw and find it very stable. The extension arms only give you about 3' on either side of the saw but that is enough to manage 16' trim without a problem. I'm also able to trim my 8' floating shelves, 12" closet material and anything else that will fit in the saw. One added feature, by removing one end cap the extension tubes can both slide in from the same end and lock in place then you can store the stand upright on one end without damaging the extensions. this makes a very small package that I strap to the end of the shelves in my van. When talking quality remember the price but that said as remodeler I use it frequently and have no complaints. ... show more
