This book is a very cute idea! Pages of practice sheets, several sampler sheets, and it just goes on and on. One of the practice sheets is the same as the front cover of the book. It’s cute! The book is unassembled. You have to open the rings, put the pages in, and close the rings. There is a whole color page of instructions on how to fill the book. Then, there is one double sided page of embroidery instructions. That is where this kit falls short. The instructions you recieve do not show you how to do all the stitches on the embroidery page. It’s honestly a bit frustrating. I expected to need to look up some videos to learn the stitches, but MANY of the stitches are not represented in their one page double sided instructions. Consider these to be a canvas to learn on from your own sources. That being said, you get everything you need to get started. Scissors, floss, hoop, needles, seam ripper. This has all the basics, except useful instructions. 4 stars for lack of those. But the rest of what you get makes it still worth the pick-up. And when you are done, you have a cute sample book.

I have been interested in learning embroidery, so I was excited to try this beginner embroidery kit. I have no previous embroidery experience, although I did a lot of research before purchasing this kit. It seemed like a good place to start. This embroidery stitch book set comes with a binder, and I love the size. It measures approximately 8 x 11 inches and features a hardcover, six-ring binder with tabs that make it easy to open. The kit includes embroidery floss, a plastic embroidery hoop that can be tightened with a screwdriver, an assortment of needles in a clear plastic tube, two needle threaders, a seam ripper, a pair of snips, and basic instructions. The needles seem better quality than those included in other kits I've tried and are a little sharper as well. The snips were dull and would not cut the floss, but that's okay because I have other snips. The instructions are basic, and I will probably rely on online videos to learn the stitches. However, it is helpful that the stitch names are included so I know what to search for. There are some noticeable spelling and typographical errors on a couple of the pages, although most of the pages look good. The fabric has a slight sheen and feels like some type of linen-blend fabric with synthetic fibers. While I prefer natural fibers such as linen or cotton, this material works fine, and the printed designs are clear and easy to read. I like that I can arrange the pages in any order I want. I placed the easiest stitches at the beginning and moved the more complex stitches, along with the pages containing errors, toward the back. The pages can also be removed from the binder and used with the included hoop. With the help of a screwdriver, it is possible to tighten the hoop enough to get the fabric drum-tight. Overall, this kit offers great value for everything included and is a good choice for beginners who want to learn embroidery.
