My daughter expressed interest in starting to play the drums. shes young so we looked for a beginner set. Not really knowing what to expect. This drum set is a glorified toy. It took a while to be put together because of lack of instructions. But my daughter enjoys playing with it. We can tell that it will not last long though, some of the pieces are already falling off or not staying on properly. Will do for now until we find a better one. ... show more

Cheaply made. Broke the 1st day; plastic heads are dented using only the plastic drum sticks provided, the kick drum pedal is warped and spring won't stay in place, and the bongo drums are barely hanging on and one already fell off. I didn't expect music store quality but something not made of cardboard would've been nice. Dollar tree quality plastic pieces at best. FYI: bought for a 2 year old ... show more

I would say this is a great gift for the price just know that the drums aren't the greatest at staying attached but it filled the wish for a "red drum set" for our 3 year old and the lights when he hits the drums are a nice added touch.
