I saw this and had to get it right away. I think it's super cute. When I was little I had a ride on toy very similar to this only it was a semi truck and the steering wheel came out the top of the cab and the seat was on top of the box. Just like my old semi this has the steering wheel straight out the top, mounted in a flat position with a squeaky horn button in the center. Under the seat has a storage compartment just like my old one, although the one I had was longer front to back so the seat and storage area was larger. This has a backrest / push bar on the back which I think is a nice addition. The colors look great and the monkey theme has a really sweet look that little children are sure to love. One thing I will make note of is that this is not as high, from the ground to the seat, as the one I had. So I don't know if this would be tall enough for the average 2-3 year old. I got this for 1-2 years of age and it seems about right to me. Someone in a review mentioned the instructions for the wheels were backwards. I didn't remember that but then I realized I didn't even look at the instructions before I already had the wheels and steering wheel installed. Installation of everything seemed fairly straightforward for me but I take things apart, repair them, and put them back together on the regular so what might seem easy to me might be more difficult for others. This is what I remember about the wheel installation... Remove the cotter pin from one axle and pull the axle out making sure to catch the two washers when you pull the axle through the body. Slide one washer on the axle and slide it all the way down to the staked end (non cotter pin end) of the axle. Install one wheel with the outside of the wheel (side that hubcap goes on) on the axle and slide it all the way down against the washer. Slide the axle back through the body. Install the other wheel on the end of the axle with the outside (hubcap side) of the wheel facing out. Install the second washer. Put the cotter pin back in and bend it over to keep it in place (might need a pliers). Install the hubcaps. Repeat these steps for the second axle and set of wheels. Overall I think this is a really cute little push/kick car for toddlers and a decent value. I'm thankful they didn't add any crazy music or strobing LED lights to this.

I got this for my 14 month old great granddaughter. Although she has been walking for a couple of months, it is just now becoming her preferred means of getting from one point to another over crawling. When she first came into the room, she spotted this brightly colored little car and headed straight over to it. We helped her get on it and at first, she would push off on the floor making it move backwards. Before too long, we got her to moving in the right direction. Right now, her legs are still not quite long enough to comfortably reach the floor. When we showed her the "secret" compartment under the seat, she spent a great amount of time putting things in and out of it. I am a typical guy, who will attempt to assembly things before resorting to reading the instructions. With this little car, I was able to get it completely assembled with no problem at all. It is sturdy enough that my granddaughter, who is a hefty 25 lbs., doesn't even seem to push the limits of this car. Hopefully she will get a couple of years of fun before she out grows it. I consider this a big win for Papaw!

This is an okay toy car for your little one. The material quality was not great in my opinion and it felt very light. I also noticed some issues in the finishing of the edges (some edges had plastic threads visible and it appeared proper sanding was not done after this was taken out of its mold). The major concern I had was with the solitary pin that you need to insert through the wheel rod and that is supposed to hold the wheels in place. With kids 1-3 years as the users for this, I felt a bit unsafe to let my kid use this without proper supervision. I also am concerned about the sharp plastic edges that needed a proper sanding to smooth out the rough plastic threads sticking out. Another thing I noticed was that the horn requires a bit of force to be functional. Again, given this will be used by little kids a better-quality horn would have did wonders. Overall, for the price point, this is an okay product but not something that you can let kids use without proper supervision.
