The TOBBI 12V electric dump truck looks great in white, and the LED lights and horn make it feel like a legit little vehicle instead of a basic ride on. For kids around 3 to 6, the size and seating feel appropriate, and the 4 wheel design gives it a stable stance when they take turns like a tiny rally driver. It drives well on pavement and packed ground, and it can handle short grass, but it’s not a true off road beast, thick lawns and uneven terrain will humble it. The auto trailer is a genuinely cool feature, it encourages pretend play, hauling toys, sticks, and whatever else they insist is “construction material.” Setup is the usual ride on project, expect a bit of assembly, wheels, steering components, trailer pieces, and connecting cables, and it’s worth double checking every connection before letting kids loose. Once built, it feels solid enough for regular use, but it’s still mostly plastic, so it benefits from gentle handling and avoiding hard crashes into curbs. The parent remote control is the standout for me, it lets you take over steering and speed when a kid gets overconfident, and it’s especially handy in driveways or near sidewalks. Battery life is decent for normal play sessions, but the runtime drops if you’re on grass, hauling heavier loads, or letting them do constant stop and go. A couple practical quirks, the horn is loud enough to become a household theme song, and the trailer is happiest on smooth ground, on bumpy surfaces it can wobble and drag. This ride on dump truck is super fun! I love that it has a parent remote control so you can take over the driving if need be. It also allows the child to drive themselves. The size is small. I know it says up to 8 year-olds can ride in this but I think 5-6 years-old is top end, unless they are unusually small for their age. The quality is average. The battery life isn't really long, but for one child it is perfect! I think this is really fun and the kids seem to love it.

This ride on dump truck is a really fun, well functioning toy once it’s fully assembled, but the setup was more difficult than it needed to be. The instructions are poorly done, with small black and white photos that make it hard to tell where parts go. Some components, like the axles, are attached to the underside of the body for shipping and must be cut loose, but the instructions never mention this. There are multiple screw types included, yet the manual doesn’t explain which screws to use where, and the images are too small to clearly show placement. The included wrench is also very basic and not great for properly tightening bolts, and there’s little guidance on washer placement or how tight connections should be. Several parts required an unusual amount of force to snap together, especially the seat base and side mirrors. Once snapped in incorrectly, they are extremely difficult to remove, so careful orientation is important. Installing the windshield and side support bars was also tricky without clear visuals. After assembly, the battery needs a long initial charge, and the remote must be paired. The remote works well, but some buttons, like speed and brake, are not clearly labeled and require reading the instructions to understand. Once everything is set up, the truck performs reliably and drives as expected. The dump bed is the highlight and works smoothly, and the included shovel that attaches to the back is a nice addition. The remote control functions flawlessly and gives good control, but it is a little choppy. Overall, this is a solid vehicle with good features and dependable performance, but the frustrating and unclear assembly process holds it back from a higher rating.

1 year old is loving this car! The garage door was open as I went to grab something, and he climbed down the stairs and right into the car! Assembly was fairly easy but a couple of the joints needed some strong arming to get the mirrors and back bar inserted. My only warning is that the seatbelt doesn’t really work. He slips out of it so easily. Thankfully, he loves being in the car so much that he doesn't try to get out. The car charges easily. It has lights. The dump truck back is fun. The car plays all kinds of songs and even has Bluetooth. It's a pretty fun toy for any kiddo!

I've used the TOBBI Ride on Dump Truck for 2 weekends in a row now and it's been pretty fun. The battery life is good enough for an hour of usage. Although the dump truck doesn't look that real, it's been relatively easy to drive around. The low speed seems perfect for my 4 year old. The remote works well and has good range. It effectively can override anything the driver is doing in the case of a emergency situation. There's only space for one on the TOBBI Ride on Dump Truck. The LED lights in the front are pretty cool but hardly useful for night time operation. Something to keep in mind if you choose to buy is that assembly did take about 90 minute for me. Now that being said, I have to mention some issues on mine. One, the power bed in the rear does not work. I've rechecked the cables and everything seems fine. There simply seems to be a motor for it that isn't wired to the battery. Second at this price point, I would've expected some type of suspension. This one does not have any suspension and runs rough over hard or bumpy surfaces. I'm contacting customer service to see if there's anything they can do to fix this issue and will update the review accordingly.

I’d say the price of $149.99 at the time of this review adequately reflects (and makes up for) minor issues I had on assembly. The instructions just aren’t very good, so if you’re not mechanical, have somebody around who is. Now that it’s put together, it works and it’s a lot of fun for little people. The remote lets an adult immediately override on-board controls as a safety feature. BUT— an adult with the remote in hand should ideally be supervising at all times. It runs best on level-ish ground, not hills or bumpy anything. If that sounds like your neighborhood, this is a good deal at the $149.99 price point.

This ride-on dump truck has plenty of power and keeps my nephew entertained longer before he gets bored or tired of it. It moves well and has enough speed to feel fun, but I never feel like it’s out of control. The parent remote is the best part - I can steer, adjust speed, and stop it when I need to, which makes it way less stressful. He loves driving it himself too, and the dump bed adds extra play instead of just “driving in circles.” Overall it’s been a great mix of fun for him and control for me.
