Had an old desk with a battered marble top. Banged off the marble, smoothed the surface and this beautiful, suitably heavy top settled perfectly into place. We love it!

    • Makes a BIG desk
After shopping for days for a pc desk and never quite finding the one that had all the features I wanted, I decided to just make my own. Most importantly I wanted a deep desk. By that I mean most pc desks are pretty long, 50-60 inches. The problem is the majority are only about 20-24 inches deep. I want plenty of room in front of me. One of the best pc desks I've ever had was a drafting table. It just afforded so many more options because of it's depth from you to the wall. Enter the Titan table top. It's 60X30 and is exactly what I was looking for. Now this top is designed to fit a powered adjustable desk mount but I don't need that. I just want a good desk to sit at and play pc games. It's also designed to attach four legs, giving it a lot of flexibility. I bought a set of four desk legs and using my drill put it together in no time. The desk top is very sturdy and level. It was quite heavy. It will come in a massive box that adds about another foot both ways. This is needed as my box came with quite a few crushed corners and gouges. The top was unharmed however as there is lots of packing material. It's easy to drill into but very strong wood material. The only downside to the desk is the black finish tends to really show fingerprints and smudges. I plan on adding holes for cable management and for adding a usb power station. Building it yourself gives you all the freedom and power to make a desk that you want instead of settling for all the junk that most pc desks are covered with. Plus it's much less expensive. Highly recommend building a desk yourself with the Titan top. It's easier than you think, cheaper and you'll have everything you want and nothing you don't. ... show more

Original review: I spent many hours searching for the right table top for a music production studio, this one seemed to fit the bill. What we saw when we opened the package was less than inspiring. Not only was the packing incredibly shoddy, the table arrived damaged and frankly unusable. It's unclear if this was damaged during transit or a huge error on the QC side of manufacturing. For a table top that is marketed as rugged, the quality of this one is laughable. Do yourself a favor and skip it. UPDATE: Titan sent an undamaged replacement and return postal slip for the original delivery. The new item arrived just as described and feels really nice. This is a good table top. ... show more
