Outer sleeve of 22mm deep socket can be removed for thin wall applications. Lug sockets are designed with a hollow core for use on longer wheel studs. Color coded for easy identification. Extra-long build for use with wider wheels. Impact grade lug nut socket is constructed of chrome- moly steel for strength and durability. Extra-long impact lug nut socket is made in Taiwan.

The product works exactly as intended, great for removing lug nuts without scratching or marring the rim and lugs and the extra length prevents your breaker bar or torque wrench from hitting the car. The socket arrived just as you see it in the pic -- with the plastic sleeve cracked at the end. It fits much better on the lug nuts than an impact socket, so no complaints from me. If you are buying this to protect some fancy wheels from being scratched up, keep looking.

I read a few reviews on these before ordering that the products broke when using for the first time. I bought this for my C8 Corvette and the torque specs for the new vettes are very high. I was worried about some cheap Chinese metal crumbling on the 1st attempt putting torque on the lug nuts. No problem here.
