  • Not really as thin as it looks in the photos
Size: 22mm
This is in regards to the 22mm socket: I originally purchased this socket because it appeared to have very thin walls, should one remove the white outside protective plastic part. Since I only needed it for use one-time to remove a specific bolt (i.e. it was okay if the socket broke during use), I wasn't really too concerned with its strength. I was more concerned with finding a socket with extremely thin walls. Based on the photo, it appeared that if you removed the white part, the metal socket would have super thin walls. Nope, guess again! The white part actually has a lip, which makes it appear that the socket is actually much thinner walled that it is. Now, this might be to help protect the face, but it sure would have been helpful if they mentioned something about the different diameters or something. I'm including some photos showing the exact size without the white protective part, since I think more than one person might be thinking they could slip that off and have a super ultra thin wall socket for limited use. Without the white part, the OD of the socket walls is 30.12mm. With the white part, it's 32.45mm OD. That's all fine and dandy, and the socket does seem to be pretty well made overall. However, at least for my application, I needed something more like 29.0 mm. And, if the white part hadn't had the fancy little lip on the front, this socket probably would have worked for me. You can decide for yourself and use my measurements in case you are looking for something extra, extra thin for some reason ... show more

  • Complete trash, Day one is was ok, but it progressively got worse
Size: 17mm
I've had this socket for two months and it was honestly great at first. It didn't scratch my Muteki SR48 lug nuts (which are made of 50BV30 steel) But I guess today wasn't the day for this tool. It decided to fuse itself to the lug nut. The Nut itself looks fine, its just surrounded by the mangled lug tool. I can't even get a refund. I guess you get what you pay for. Disposable lug tool.... ... show more

  • Broken after first use, very disappointed.
Size: 17mm
After the very first use, the socket is cracked and broken. The built quality looks good but the result is very disappointing.

  • Double Check What You Need!
Size: 21mm
Socket looks good and seems like it's of good quality. Does not fit the wheel I would be using it for, the socket is NOT thin walled like most sockets like this. Also, vendor does not offer returns, which I just found out trying to send it back.

  • cheap sockets don't hold up
Size: Deep Socket Set
I change winter tires for summer, etc, for my two vehicles, and my brother's two vehicles. These are fine for occasional use, but they are cheap, will start to wear out rapidly. This will damage the lug nuts or lug bolts pretty rapidly. I had these totally trash 2 lug nuts. If you need a thin wall for aftermarket wheels, you will have to take off the protective plastic. The steel these are made of is inferior and you can start to see the wear almost immediately. I bought a SATA set of thin wall sockets for $80 that seem much better from Amazon. ... show more

  • Well worth it if you love your expensive wheels
Size: 22mm
Some reviewers found it a bit cheap. The nylon sleeve is thin, but if if was any thicker it wouldn't fit the wheel anyway. Consider it a DIY tool and don't use it with an impact gun. I will use it only with a breaker bar and a torque wrench.

  • Don't use with an impact!
Size: 17mm
Fit nicely into the lug holes of my Enkei EKM3 wheels. You can remove the plastic outer cover to gain more clearance if required. This is different than typical "deep" sockets because the female hex in this socket goes much deeper - making it suitable for "tuner" style lugnuts that fit really deeply into the socket. Just don't use this with an impact - the thinwall design of this will certainly crack if you do. ... show more

  • Glad to found out about these
Size: 17mm
Works well like it’s supose to a lil iffy about it on some really torqued down bolts but that’s how it is with most deep sockets. The coating does scratch easy but better that then my wheels. I’ll update when I get more use out of it I’ve only used it 3 or 4 times so far. When I say the coating scratches by no means do I mean it looks all ratchet and used up. It’s still in good condition just has small smudges I guess is a better term ... show more
