  • Not even close to accurate
Size: 0-60 PSI
I purchased this in 2016 to replace the cheap pen style tire gauges I had been using. I was looking for something more accurate, reliable, & easy to use. The external build quality seems pretty good but the internals are apparently subpar. I noticed that when I used it to set tire pressure that the electronic tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) on my vehicle always read several PSI higher. I initially attributed that to the TPMS being less precise. Over time, however, I became increasingly suspicious as it seemed like this gauge has actually gotten worse. I started comparing my TPMS readings with some cheap pen gauge readings and there were within +/-1 PSI while this gauge was overfilling 5-6 PSI for the same reading. At this point I have concluded it is/was worthless as it cannot be trusted to perform its singular purpose with any accuracy. I recommend that you keep looking if you are in the market for a gauge you can trust. ... show more

  • OUTSTANDING heavy-duty tire gauge that works flawlessly and is well-worth the cost!
Size: 0-60 PSI
This gauge is OUTSTANDING. PRO: - It has a reinforced rubber hose between the gauge and the valve that is long enough to reach into any tire rim, and heavy-duty enough that it won't kink, twist, or wear out quickly; - gauge has a large white dial that is easy to read, even for those of us who never try to look at anything within arm's length without glasses; - it holds the reading, locking it on the gauge, until you press the pressure bleed button on the release valve; - the gauge is reinforced with heavy rubber, making it impervious to damage from accidental dropping or banging against a rim; - NO BATTERIES (I can't tell you how many digital gauges I have thrown away because the batteries were not replaceable, or simply died due to age - usually right when I needed to use the gauge); - accurate (calibrated to ANSI B40.1 Grade B, which is the standard used by Consumer Reports when they test tire pressure gauges) - 0 to 60 psi reading - my kids' bicycles have higher-pressure tires, and this gauge reads their pressures without difficulty; CON: - the free "car care guide" seems a wee bit simplistic, and contains nothing most people don't already know; - there is nothing on the gauge that tells me where it was manufactured, but it is getting difficult to find anything not made in China these days; - not fluid-filled (I am not sure this is necessarily bad, but my racing friends tell me fluid-filled gauges are smoother in operation. That said, I have NO idea what "fluid" is used on such gauges, and anyone living in the north who stores their gauge in a car's trunk or glove box probably would be upset if they needed to use the gauge and found it frozen - or worse). ... show more

  • Great little pressure gauge
Size: 0-100 PSI
I was looking for a good tire pressure gauge that would hold up to years of use and finally settled on this one. I used it once and found that it was easy enough to check tire pressure and to my surprise (maybe this dates me?!) it held the needle at the registered tire pressure when I removed it from the valve stem! I found that I had to push the button to release the air and zero the needle again. I thought this was a handy feature since I am used to older gauges that never did this. The hose is a little stiff and sometimes unruly when trying to orient the check valve and the gauge independent of one another. The outer black ring is rubbery material so if you drop it it should survive. It seems to be accurate with pressure readings, another thing that I am a stickler for because I don't like dealing with inaccuracy for such things. So far I like this gauge! ... show more

  • An absolutely splendid choice...
Size: 0-100 PSI
I recently ordered a couple of gauges on good faith from the plethora of positive reviews. Figured that would give me sufficient opportunity for a product “test drive” before I started populating my vehicles exclusively with Flexi-Pro gauges. When I first had opportunity to give one a shot, I’d come home late, was tired, but knew I needed to give the tires a quick check and fill. As anticipated, I was delighted with the features and performance of the product. In short, the tip makes a nice, tight seal without having to move it around to get that perfect seal while the stem hisses and you lose a couple of psi in the process. The bleed valve was a splendid find for dropping a couple of psi when I overinflated a bit, and I love the way that the pressure remained registered on the gauge until the bleed valve is pressed, which made it quite easy to get an accurate reading when I was short on light and not in the mood to track down a light to otherwise facilitate. I ordered two originally, but after first use, passed one on to my dad, as I’d already determined that I’d be ordered an additional quantity of them shortly. Overall, great product, solidly built, a conscientious proprietor, and some excellently applied innovation. It’s truly “one of those few products.” I can’t imagine the source of regret in picking one (or more) up. ... show more

  • Not tested or calibrated
Size: 0-60 PSI
I has one with similar build from the other brand and I wanted to try a different brand. I was confused at first because this one reads 3psi lower than my first gauge. Luckily I found the digital Accutire and I confirmed this one is not working properly. 3PSI is more than the acceptable error at 3% or 1.8 PSI. This one was sent back. ... show more

  • AS GOOD AS IT GETS IN THIS PRICE RANGE!
Size: 0-100 PSI
I own a number of high-quality tire pressure gauges, but not one that goes to 100 pounds. Because I will not be using this gauge as frequently as the gauges designed for cars (0-50 or 0-60 PSI), I decided to be more conservative and purchase a more modestly priced gauge for this application. When the gauge arrived, I immediately was impressed with the quality look of the product. In addition, I checked its accuracy against my "high-dollar" units. To my amazement, the TireTek was "dead-on-the-money." If I would have known that a product this good was available at such a more realistic price, I would never have purchased the higher priced gauges!!! The TireTek gauge also includes a "pressure-hold" feature, which is critical to adjust tires accurately and is also used to release pressure when too much air was inadvertently added. I've noticed reviewers of other gauges for a lack of this important feature. If I ever purchase another tire pressure gauge, it will definitely be a TireTek - it is that good! ... show more
