My last couple tubes of tire glue hardened up after sitting in the car for a while, so I grabbed these as a fresh replacement. So far, I’m happy with them. It comes with two tubes of glue, a paddle for spreading if needed, and even some quick repair screws (which I probably won’t use, but it’s a nice extra). The included screwdriver is pretty much junk though — I tossed it and used one from my toolbox instead. I tested the glue on an old piece of tire in the garage, and it bonded really well. There are a few typos on the packaging, but that doesn’t affect performance. I’m confident these will do the job the next time I get a flat. Solid little emergency kit to keep in the car. I got this kit just for the glue. It says it will repair sidewall damage. Well maybe on a bicycle. I certainly wouldn't expect it to repair a tear in the sidewall of a car/truck tire, and honestly I have my doubts about even trying it on a bicycle. It comes with screw in plugs to repair a typical nail/screw hole in a tire. They may work but I'd stick with the old tried and true tire plugs coated with the glue in this kit. ... show more

My actual experience with the glue has been good. I had a slow bead leak on a utility tire. After separating the bead and wiping with solvent, I applied a very thin coating of the repair glue (finger) to both the bead and the rim. I did not allow any particular time for it to skim over, nor did I rush it. After re-seating the bead, the leak was fixed. Can't ask for better than that! I like two smaller tubes of glue, versus one larger one. It's a much better value if you use this infrequently. Once the seal is pierced, shelf life will be limited. I have not used the tire screws yet. But for utility tires where a rope plug would be appropriate, these may be the new hot ticket. Definitely seems easier to use and install. I like that they are in individual pill containers to keep them clean. I'll update this review when I have occasion to use one. Considering my luck with tires, that won't take long. This is a great little tire repair kit to keep in your car in case you get a nail in your tire. You get two tubes of rubber cement, 8 repair plugs in two sizes (4 of each), two spatulas, a Phillips screwdriver and a fine attachment for the glue tubes. Installation is simple, just select the size plug most appropriate, apply some glue to the repair plug and screw it in with the screwdriver until it is flush with the surface. The only issue would be if the tire is wet or muddy. There is no tool included to clean and dry the tire so you may want to throw a rag in the car for that. You'll also need a way to inflate the tire if it is too flat to drive on. But for the price, this is a great little kit. It says it can be used for sidewall patches but I can tell you that will not work, other than maybe for getting you to the nearest service station but even that is a remote possibility. Sidewall patches don't really work, certainly not with a plug and they are inherently unsafe with modern tires. Nonetheless, this kit may get you out of a bind if you have puncture damage to your tire and it is small enough to fit in a glove box or center console.. ... show more

I'm a bit torn about this product. Honestly, when I need to plug a hole in my tire, I am normally removing metal screws, nails or objects, not putting a metal screw in it. These may work if you plug the leak, albeit it better be small, less than 1/4", just for you to get down the road to a shop, but if you are hoping to get the same result as the tubeless plug kit that has the plugs, tire hook, rubber cement and reamer, tool then you'll be disappointed. The metal screw plugs in this kit are very small and likely will not work on truck tires. Otherwise, you have several plugs and this might be ok, again just to get you to a shop, for thin objects that have punctured/got stuck in your tire. The verdict... Woukd I buy this product again? I have to say I am not likely to. As someone that has worked on their own vehicle since I was old enough to help her father, this would not be my go to. Would I recommend this product? Again, I think you would be better served that if you know how to fix your flat, without the fix-a-flat can which is dangerous to a tire technician, then you already know you want the plug with cement, the reamer tool and hook tool type of repair kit. Is this a good value for the money? Honestly, since I wouldn't recommend it or want to use it as my emergency repair go to, I can't say it is. I used this tire repair glue for a small leak and it worked well. It was easy to apply and not messy. The glue is thick and sticks quickly to the surface. After using it, the leak stopped and the tire held air again. It dried fast and stayed strong after it set. I also like that a small amount goes a long way.
