I previously used those pencil tire pressure guages and they were not reliable. Thus far, this guage is easy to use. I like the fact that the tip is able to swivel to get into an area where the tire valve is difficult to reach and that it holds the pressure until you press the release button. I got this to replace an old pencil type and keep in the glove box of my truck. This one is so much easier for my old eyes to read and seems to be much more accurate when checked against a digital gauge I keep in my garage and the readings on the dashboard information center from the vehicles TPMS.

I've had a afew different ones over the years. This one is honestly the best one I've ever used. it's accurate, don't leak, don't need batteries, glows in the dark when there is low light, comes with a valve core replacement tool and its cheap. I have a digital one I paid double for that's very similar needs batteries. The problem with that one is, it needs batteries, and it dies when you need to use it. This is the one you want for features, quality and price.
