I am collecting these mini games so I do not play with them so I wouldn't be able to say if the actual game works. They are mini and the screens look like the actual larger game. I plan on purchasing more of them. Oh, and the sound works very well. Sounds just like the larger game.

Just received my Dig Dig and thought I would pass along some information on the game play. The game itself is just like all the other games from this company, cool size, nice detail for the price. Having played the actual game quite a bit, there are a few things that are different and make it somewhat difficult to play. First, the screen scrolls vertically as you move up and down the playing field. The actual game doesn't scroll. Second, you can't dig up underneath a rock and keep the joystick up to hold the rock, to time the rock fall on the enemies. You get a few seconds and the rock automatically falls. And third, if you are moving in a given direction, and you pump an enemy and then let go, you don't automatically keep moving even if you keep the joystick held down. To move after pumping, you have to let go of the joystick and then move in the direction you want to move.

Great tiny version of the classic I recall from my childhood! Dig Dug is one of my favorite arcade games, and this is a great little unit. I also have the tinyarcade Space Invaders, and while indeed tiny, they look and sound authentic. The Marquee's and screens are well lit - making them pretty cool to see when sitting in a dark room (with all the sounds, its kind like a 'miniature arcade' on the shelf) Mind you, they can be a little tricky to play on a small screen, but that's part of the charm. I would have loved if they had something to control the volume - the sound is loud (which is cool) but its impossible to play them in the office or on the bus without annoying those around you. However, as a fan of 80's toys and tech, I love this toy.

Few gripes but overall this fits well into the series. The music is only supposed to play when you walk...but it plays the entire game non-stop. As per the other review, some other minor differences but no deal breakers like FROGGER which doesn't even have the actual game rom music we all (who grew up on Frogger) know and love. Hell Bucker and Garcia loved it enough to put it in their song. Frogger's cabinet also is supposed to have a wood grain but Tiny Arcade breezed over that fact as well. Tiny Arcade dropped the ball on FROGGER, which is so far the only one I will NOT be buying. Happy to have Dig Dug in my miniature arcade though!

These are absolutely the best, smallest arcade machines in the world that are available!!!! They work so good! The fact that I am able to play some of my favorite arcade titles on a keychain that has a screen that is no bigger then the face on a quarter is amazing to me!!! Gameplay is better and closer to the actual arcade machines that I grew up playing then some of the other larger size machines that are out on the market right now. These are far more nostalgic to me. I hope to see many more titles in the future! Keep up the great work... thank you!
