  • Cool machine
Style: Floor ONE S5 Pro 2
Received this just a few days and have cleaned my floors twice already. I have roughly 2,800sq feet of finished/stained concrete floors so vacuuming and mopping never end. It took the whole battery life to clean my house. And took less than 60 minutes. (took longer to empty and refill tanks) The dirty and clean tanks are small. However, the whole machine itself is small and very easy to maneuver. It’s also self propelled and doesn’t require an arm and back workout when using. I used the cleaning solution it came with and it worked great. No streaks, film, or sticky left behind. Smelled nice too. I did try to use some lysol multi surface cleaner instead and it foamed and made the machine error a lot. Don’t recommend. Doesn’t leave a ton of water behind after cleaning, allowing floors to dry really quickly. The vacuum works great too. When I inspected my floors after cleaning there was nothing left behind. I expected to have to use my Dyson first to pre clean. But no, it was spotless- sticky and crumbs- all gone. I wouldn’t consider this a “deep” clean machine. But for daily or weekly use to keep a house tidy it is perfect! Overall- I’m super happy with my purchase. I have had my eye on this machine for over a year but couldn’t spend the money. After a few gift cards and a spring sale I decided to purchase. So glad I did. This is going to save so much time cleaning. Only downside I have found so far is it does take quite awhile to fully charge the battery. ... show more

  • Skeptical Spouse Now a Fan
Style: Floor ONE S5 Pro 2
Mentioned to my husband I wanted this and he seemed a bit put off by the price. Understandable. Now that we have it, we are so happy with the investment. We have about 1000 sq ft of vinyl plank, plus tile in two bathrooms, entryway, and large enclosed patio, and I just hate traditional sweeping and mopping, but with a toddler, baby, and two dogs, we can’t really go without cleaning the floor most days. This has made it immensely easier and quicker than I ever could have dreamed. We’ve used it for a few months now, and these are the biggest things I can think of right now: Pros: -Long charge let’s me do all hard surfaces in a single charge, even using Ultra mode as needed. We have about 1500 sq ft of hard flooring and I’ve never ran out of a charge. -Doesn’t leave floors sopping wet, dries super fast so I don’t have to worry about the littles slipping on wet floor, or excess water seeping between flooring planks. -Picks up everything from dirt to splattered yogurt to squished blackberries in one go. But we do have dogs that pick up larger food prices like bread or goldfish if they catch it before I do. We haven’t tested anything like eggs or spaghetti like in the the commercials. But I have cleaned up a bowl of milk and soggy cheerios that got dropped, so I’m sure it would pick up most things you need it to! -Relatively quiet: doesn’t freak out the dogs or littles. Much quieter than say a vacuum. -Prompts when water needs to be added, dumped, etc. some have said it’s a bit loud, but I like it. Notes (might be cons though they don’t bother me): -If you don’t clean the dirty tank every use it can smell. This hasn’t been a problem for us, it’s pretty straight forward to dump dirty water, rinse (I will also clean it with a splash of mild detergent or vinegar if it was really dirty) but I did forget to do it once and notice it smelled funky when I cleaned it a day or two later. Obviously it’s a dirty tank of floor gunks so I wouldn’t expect anything less, but I could see if you left dirty water in there for a long period of time it might get really nasty and be harder to clean. -On some extra dirty floor days, I have to refill the tank and empty the dirty tank more than once. To keep it from being heavy or cumbersome, the tanks are not huge. Usually one fill and one empty does all my floors. But if there’s extra dirt or a larger liquid spill, you’ll have to refill/dump more. Granted it’s amazing that it can clean so we’ll using a fraction of the water/cleaning solution that I would use with a traditional mop. -The self propel took me a few times to get the hang of. I kept pausing to bend down and move a cord or something, and it would jerk from me. The self propel is mostly helpful, don’t get me wrong. But it could be frustrating to some. -I find it “vacuums” debri best moving forward, so I either go more like a lawnmower and just walk continually forward in a pattern, or I do smaller strips forward, then backward over the same strip of floor and move sideways to a new strip to move forward…if that makes sense. This just took some getting used to as well. -if something is super hardened or stuck on, you may just scrape it off first or it will take several passes. We had a piece of candy or something that got stepped on and hardened. It didn’t come up after two passes, so I scraped it off. Ended up having to use a stoneware scraper, so it was really hardened onto the floor. Also my toddler put stickers all over the floor once. This doesn’t clean those up, hahaha. ... show more

  • Love / hate relationship
Style: Floor ONE S5 Pro 2
Okay so this is disappointing that I was going to review the Combo Tineco but it pulls up my review on the expensive Tineco I bought last year. I guess you need to be aware of which Tineco someone is reviewing; the performance is NOT the same!. I am feeling very ripped of with the combo that was advertised as multi-surface because reading the instruction it says to not use it on carpet like my other Tineco. Yet directly 8n this as it boosts carpet as a surface to use it on. Also, this model doesn’t have a suction mode which is very valuable when you spill something. Compared to the other Tineco this isn’t even close to the same. If that was a 9 out of 10 then this one is a 4 out of 10. Review on the expensive one not the cheaper combo: The job it does and the speed I can clean things up is what I absolutely love. It is very lightweight and I can buy around the house quickly and it does a beautiful job…for the most part. When you hit rugs with super low pile it has a hard time grabbing hair from the dogs it just rolls them around and creates a ball of hair instead of vacuuming it up so I still need my heavy vacuum to really clean. But the biggest issue is it doesn’t hold much water. Every 2 minutes it tells me to fill the water, or empty the dirty water or clean the brush. It’s annoying that I cannot clean even one room without having to stop 2-3 times to do one of those three things. Maybe if you live in NY in a shoebox apartment, this would be fine, but out here in the country where we have normal sized houses, it’s a PITA. But I put up with it because it works. I will toss it out when the next tool comes out that can last a bit longer because it does drive me crazy. One other thing I don’t like is the place it puts solids that it picks up. They are wet and gross and the only way to dump that is getting your hands full of muck. That little piece the wet muck sits on has fallen in the trash several times too and I can see that if you lose that little 10 cent piece you’ve just rendered the entire machine useless. I do not see anywhere to buy a spare! Update after 3 months of usage. I had to change the filter as it was really dirty. So feelings about it still remain. The programming of the machine is more about a routine than a need. If I clean the floors then dump the dirty water and then put it on to recharge, it will still tell me to dump the dirty water and it won’t shut up until you (go through the motion) unlatch it and latch it again. Make sure you empty that dirty container because unlike a vacuum if you leave that wet muck in there things hatch and grow. The dirty container being plastic holds a smell that is really bad. When you turn it on and air blows it smells bad. The number one thing that grosses me out is having to use your hands to empty the waste in the wet dirty area, it’s gross especially if you’ve picker up bugs, spiders and flies off the floor. While I love how well it cleans that enough to make me never want to use it again. It complains about emptying, filling changing something about every minute so that’s my next pet peeve. While you’ll look at the dirty tank and say wow that’s big, I’m here to say NO it’s not because it can only be filled up about 1/3 of the way and then it stops working. It is NOT a smart machine! It just has a routine it expects you to follow and if you do things out of order it will still tell you to do it in its chosen order. Everytime you put it on the charge it wants to clean the machine. The issue with that is it will go though a tank of cleaner and then tell you to empty the dirty tank before and after the cleaning then you will have to fill the solution again because it used it all cleaning the machine. The machine cleaning makes the roller sopping wet so you may want some newspaper or paper towels to ring it out a bit. It also doesn’t clean behind the roller or down the tube of the dirty water tank; you’ll need the brush provided to do that. One other thing: pet fur doesn’t get tangled up in the roller or wheels but you do need to take 3 seconds take the roller off and Yang all the hair out from behind the roller that it catches (yep gross job #2). I think I’m going to look for some tongs that I can clip to this device and maybe that will take care of touching the gross stuff. It still cleans great! But the machine is in my opinion “high maintenance”. ... show more
