I am a big fan of velvet curtains in general. Purchased these for our guest room which has two sets of windows and can be very bright. These work perfectly paired with a set of light filtering curtains. They do not 100% black out the room but do you make it dark enough To sleep even in the middle of the day. Like any brand new curtains you should steam them upon hanging for at least a day or two. “Wrinkle free curtains” just don’t exist so get that out of your head if you think that is a reality. I love these curtains, I currently have them in my dining and living room. You definitely have to steam them because they come wrinkled as heck, but after some steam they look great and aren’t too heavy/bulky. A minimal amount of light is able to filter through, which helps with being able to see the tv during the day with a window that faces the wall our tv is on. They do produce a red tint if you don’t put another curtain behind it, but it’s not a huge deal to me. They aren’t black out curtains so if that is what you are wanting them for you might need to get a separate curtain to layer with this one. ... show more
