I bought my first pair at REI after getting a fitting. I tried on more expensive brands but these fit my slightly narrow feet best, and while leather, they are lightweight so as not to weigh you down. They were comfortable right away but I did find they needed a little breaking in before a 12-15 mile hike. I learned this the hard way and got a blister on my toe. But none after! The boots have been on 4 Grand Canyon multi day backpacking trips, walked in many creeks, and climbed up many rocky rocky terrain. They did really well on ice while hiking last April in the Grand Canyon. I have wore mine at least a couple hundred miles and after a year and half had to retire them. They are super sturdy but I just wore them out. Just got a new pair, they look so nice, time to start getting them ready for serious hiking. If you have a wide foot, not for you. If you need a cushiony feel, not for you. They are very comfortable, and even after 5 days of wearing them while backpacking, my feet never hurt. I also wasn’t quickly slipping in to sliders and out of them as other hikers were at the campgrounds. I wear a size 9 in hiking boots because of steep terrain and the same for these.

This is by far the most comfortable, versatile boot I’ve ever worn. Due to automobile wreck, I must wear a sizable insert in one shoe. This boot easily fits the insert. Started wearing the boots all day from day one with no blisters. I’ve had them for 6 weeks now and I basically live in them on our farm. Had to walk through standing water/mud after getting my tractor hung up. With the water up to my ankle, my foot did not get wet! I very rarely write reviews, but this product deserves to be praised highly! I would absolutely recommend this boot for hiking, working, comfort, and style. It is very cute with a pair of jeans on a night out. Only caution is that it runs small so I had to order a full size up from my normal size.

These boots are lightweight with good tread, seem very durable and look waterproof. I sized up as suggested in description; they fit well and are very comfortable. Two pair of laces come in box (1beige, 1 Timberland Red). They appear to be well made. I live in a midwest city, so this light tan/khaki color, would never survive the messy winters we get. I had to return them, as much as I wanted to keep them.

It is a good quality, soft, fits comfortable size is bigger that I am normally size 8 and have to have size 7 wich fits perfectly. But..I don’t like the design ☹️ I prefer different design keele ridge.. is my favorite one. So in search of that one and have to return this one. But yes is still good brand !!

Update after wearing a few times: still happy with purchase but whew! So snug! I can feel them being broken in and it’s getting better but if there is one piece of advise I can think of - don’t plan to wear these for a long hike when you first get them, unless maybe if you’re familiar with the sizing of this brand. Also noted not much ankle support which I know is important for hiking. Original: I wear a 9.5 - sometimes a 9. In boots I wear 9.5-10. I ordered 9.5 in these, I am happy with the fit. If you’re familiar with timberlands typically being on the narrow side, these are just like that (I had forgotten). I am still happy with the fit, I tried them on with my heavy duty winter socks and they are definitely snug…but I feel like once I break them in they will be just the right size (plus I only wear those socks a couple times during winter). I have not worn these outside but I’m excited to soon, should have some snow days soon. I walk about 30 min in snow and on icy sidewalks so the right shoes are super important - will update once I’ve worn.

My new Timberland boots are super comfy & they aren’t even broken in yet!! I wear a 9 1/2 but ordered a size 10 because a wear a diabetic orthotic, they’re a bit thick. I purchased the boots for yard work (I have 7 1/2 acres) but they look so good with a pair of jeans that I believe I will order another pair for “cleanup!”

Love these boots! Walked around much of the day around town in them with no issues. I was confused about the size. The reviews here say they run small. I didn’t find that to be the case. They run large in size but narrow. I was so happy to find a good shoe for my narrow feet. I found an article on the timberland website that you may wish to size down a 1/2 size. I’m usually a 9 in sneakers and boots, an 8 1/2 or 9 in sandals. I tried both sizes and ended up liking the smaller size better. Once I get back from hiking in them, I’ll update of any issues with the quality and waterproofing etc, but so far, worth the money and happy I bought them.

I didn’t think I could love hiking shoes. Most are more about function than style. These shoes are both. I bought them for hiking in Portugal. The weather was cool and rain on and off. I wore them for a few days around my house, running errands & going to the airport to break them in. We hiked every day for 8days rain or shine and by the 2nd or 3rd day they were totally broken in. I was sad to get them all muddy and dirty because they are so cute but they cleaned right up. Function first when it comes to hiking shoes ofcourse but it’s a bonus that these functional shoes are also really cute.
