  • Breaks in fast, good quality, easy on the wallet
Size: 7 Wide Color: Castlerock-2024 New
Great so far. I have wide feet, and ordered the wide even though some reviews online said the wides were still too narrow. But the fit is good. It took a few miles of local neighborhood walks to break them in, but they broke in fairly well and fast. After the break-in, I hit the trails and they are very comfortable on rocky sand and loose rocks as found in the desert. No hot spots. They are heavier than sneakers, but they are lighter than you would think from looking at them. They replace a pair of Asolo leather boots that I've had for many years, and these are much more comfortable right out of the box. And for their price, they seem very well built. I was prepared to pay more for a good pair of boots, glad I didn't have to. ... show more

Size: 10 Color: Castlerock-2024 New
These are a great and comfortable pair of hiking shoes. I recently went through mud, and they kept my feet completely dry. The fit is exactly as expected.

  • Love the boots!
Size: 9.5 Color: Dark Brown Full Grain
These boots have really held up. Bought these a couple years ago and I'm really glad I did. I'm not an avid hiker but these are the best boots I've ever had they are super comfortable and supportive.

  • High quality comfortable boot- ridiculous lace length
Size: 12 Color: Dark Brown-2024 New
Bought these to replace a pair of Columbia Newton Ridge boots in search of real leather and a more premium look. These delivered exactly. The look and feel is very high quality and they’re very comfortable out and about day to day. ONE complaint is the length of the laces. Timberland- why are they ridiculously long? If I’m out hiking or in a muddy area I don’t want the laces to also be so close to the ground catching all of the dirt too. 20” less of lace and these will be 100% perfect ... show more

  • SHOCKED at how much I love everything about these boots!
Size: 10 Wide Color: Castlerock-2024 New
I've never owned a pair of Timberland boots. I always just saw rappers and urban-dwellers sporting them more like a fashion trend than a functional hiking boot. I figured that's all they were. Soo... time comes I need a new pair of hiking boots after my 8-year-old HiTecs (which I loved) got tore up by volcanic rock and I run across Timberlands as an option. After doing a bit of research I discover that they are highly-rated (for a mid-priced boot) and have a long history of making solid, reliable boots. I liked the clean lines and construction of an all-leather-upper boot compared to the overly-complicated construction of others I was considering (Merrill, Keen, etc...). I fell in love with the look of the Castle Rock color and pattern. I know... you should'nt buy a tool cuz it's pretty. Tools are meant to be used and should look like they get used. I truly believe that and I am over-all a very utilitarian kinda guy. That said... I loved the way these looked. I loved them even more when I pulled them from the box! The photo's do not do the Castle Rock version justice. I found myself worried that I might not want to hike in them... they'ld get dirty! But hike in them I did and I could not be happier with my choice. These boots are comfortable almost right out of the box. They are super light for an all-leather boot. Looooong laces allowed me to lace them to shape everything around my foot and lock them to my heel. They are warm without being hot. The sole is super sticky on every surface and whisper quiet when walking indoors on hardfloors. Don't usually care about how quiet my hiking boot is but for some reason it really impressed me! They are so comfortable that even after wearing them for 12-14 hours straight I found myself not wanting to take them off. Soooo comfortable... and did I say they look awesome?? I got em dirty from snow, mud, streams, filthy puddles; red-clay dirt, etc... They cleaned right up like new! They kept my feet warm in the snow, dry in the streams. I love these boots! I will buy them again! Did I say they look awesome?? :) Regarding the fitment... I have a wide foot and typically I do a 10.5 wide in most other shoe styles (athletic, business, dress, etc...). With hiking boots I've found that Im a solid 10 and with some brands I do not need the wide. I ordered accordingly... 10 regular. They were comfortable but a bit snug. I returned them and went with the 10-wide. Perfection! Got a wide foot? Go for the wide option. Watch some vids on ways you can lace a boot to fit your foot's unique shape and you can really dial these in. The D-rings are steel and strong and rivetted to the upper. The four lacing hooks at the top are also riveted. They are a little shallow to support a surgeon's knot lace method but it works just fine. I can't say enough about how impressed I am with these boots! Get them. Dont even think twice! Go for the Castle Rock, version. They look so good I find myself wanting to wear them in lieu of any of my other shoes. ... show more

  • Material breathes
Size: 12 Color: Castlerock-2024 New
Absolutely made-for-me fit in size 12, so over several years I have bought pairs in black and in this grey with orange trim. Tgere is room for my preferred (added) 1/8" thick plain Spenco neoprene insoles. The boot material breathes, never clammy, so combined with acrylic socks stay comfortable all day. (I do not ever wear moisture-retaining cotton socks.) Lace and eyelet design work great. Very durable. The black take a wax shine well! I wear these year round, in Massachusetts. ... show more

  • So Glad I Found This Pair Of Shoes
Size: 9.5 Color: Black-2024 New
This was for my 4th work shoe. None was able to last with the work that I did and I just figured I would end up buying a new pair every month. After I saw my manager with a similar shoe that seemed to be working well, I decided to get a similar one. It was a great decision! It has been very strong and durable. I ran through about 3 shoes in 3 months. I did so much walking at work as an engineer and so much rough work that they could not last. However, it has been over 7 months and this shoe has stood the test of time! Absolute value for money. It fits nice, has great grip and keeps my feet warm. This was definitely worth every penny! ... show more

  • Great Boots
Size: 12 Wide Color: Castlerock-2024 New
I have at least 3 pairs of these one in a different color and they have all been great I love them for the price , I used to stand on my feet 11 hours a day so I switched from regular tennis shoes, the soles would usally wear out for me after about 9 months, and whatever soles they have that come in the shoes are not the same ones that they sell separately the anti fatigue soles are nowhere near as good as whatever is original in these. ... show more
