Living in Minnesota, I’ve learned that a good pair of wool socks isn’t just a luxury—it’s a necessity. Timberland’s socks have become my go-to during our long winters, whether I’m shoveling snow, or just trying to stay warm indoors. The wool blend provides excellent insulation without overheating, which is important when you’re going in and out of cold and heated spaces all day. They’re thick enough to pair with boots for outdoor chores, but not so bulky that they feel tight or uncomfortable. I also appreciate the cushioned soles and reinforced toes—they make a real difference when you're on your feet for hours, especially in heavy winter boots. Moisture-wicking has been solid so far. They’ve also held up well in the wash—no shrinkage or sagging. In true Timberland fashion, the design is classic and understated, and the quality is exactly what you’d expect from a brand built for the outdoors.     • Comfy Hiking Socks Like to Pill a Bit but That's Not a Deal Breaker for me

These are super comfy and are holding up fine, my only gripe is that they are pilling pretty easily after only a wash or two, but that's more on the foot of the sock itself and since they're hiking socks and not dress socks, it doesn't really matter. Otherwise I like the thickness and feel of them, they don't constrict too much and do help make my hikes more comfortable, even in warmer weather. Will likely switch out for the season soon, but I'll see if they make my feet too hot in summer or not. Either way, I do like these and am happy with the order. ... show more

Love these socks - they're comfy and padded in the right places. They were perfect for a couple of spring hikes in our wet PNW weather. They also worked well on a snowy cold weekend in Vancouver earlier this year. Breathability is great - feet never felt like they were cooking.

I got these for my boyfriend, who thought they were comfy, warm, and said he thinks they would work well for hiking. He said he thinks they have the right amount of "give"/stretchiness to them to easily get them on and off but still feel supportive. They come up fairly high onto the calf. If these were not so heavily marketed as "wool," they would get a 5 star rating. The listing states they are wool, then on the packaging they have a separate tag on the socks sticking out that has just the word "WOOL" in all caps on it. But when you look at the fine print, they are only 19% wool, so it definitely feels misleading, and there is no need for it. Just call it a "wool blend" or something more accurate. They are still great socks. FYI I did put them through the washer and dryer on normal settings with no noticeable shrinkage (I'm thinking this is why they didn't make them purely out of wool - but again, just be honest about that). ... show more

Great overall use socks for colder weather. The material blend allows for good insulation and breathability. They fit to size and feel supportive. I can use these all day without any issues. I have not had any with the quality of these socks. After quite a few washes no threads have come loose and they have retained their color. ... show more
