These are comfortable and easy to put on. They appear to have good tread and grip. I plan on using these around the yard and for cleaning the pool deck with muriatic acid. The only thing that I can say bad about them is the heel feels a tiny bit lower. I'm not looking for high heels to prance around and make all of the soccer moms swoon over me. I just with the heel was a bit more pronounced to give me a bit more of a badass cowboy walk. I have a certain status to uphold in our sub division as the first official chili cook off winner, best decorated yard, unofficial mayor of the neighborhood should have more of a solid walk.     • A better hunting boot

So far so good. Wore them hunting once so far this season (which just started). Crossed a creek twice and no leaks. Comfortable when sitting or standing. Warm enough for late September and probably well into the PA rut if you wear the right socks. So size appropriately. I think muck boots with proper socks (for whatever weather you’re in) are the ultimate whitetail boot. If you’re in the deep mountains or facing a long poke to your spot, you probably want more stability. But for getting in/out and staying dry and comfy, these are like wearing heaven on your feet. Only negative is they had that typical rubber smell out the box. I keep them outside 365 days a year (in the elements, upside down they don’t fill w water) so this Smell fades once they offgas. What is most impressive about these boots is just how waterproof they are. I can stop through creeks or the river and not worry about my feet getting soaked or leaking. It can cost 2 to 3 times as much to find a boot that can do what this one does. I can honestly say I will probably buy more pairs in the future when I wear these out but the quality seems to be so good that that may take a while. I know I will recommend these to all my friends for fishing icefishing and hunting or even just hiking and trail walking. I always use a size bigger to add extra socks for cold days but they fit true to size. Do not hesitate to make this purchase also great customer service and easy to work with company. ... show more

I purchased these boots in Oct 2020. They were extremely comfortable and easy on/off compared to my muck boots. While the price was decent, the boots have already (Dec 2020) started coming apart at the seams lower on the boot. While I wasnt getting wet feet at first, I am now getting water in from the bottom (sol area). I havent found any rips or anything but when Im in wet mud for a short period of time, my feet are wet. Not soaking wet, but damp. Such a bummer because I was really hoping to get 1 year out of these boots. I will not buy these boots again and I do not recommend them. **Majority of use was while working in trenches and snowy, muddy terrain. The terrain was always soft and spongy and never used in rocky, sharp surfaces. ... show more

    • Good quality for growing kids or light use

This is my second pair of TIDWEs for my now 13 year old son. They are a more affordable option to muck or other big brand, particularly for a growing kid. He outgrew his previous pair after a year of pretty heavy use and no problems with wear or tear. The label rubbed off, but that's it. After owning a few pairs of mucks, I can say that the TIDWEs are an excellent value. Only complaint about this current pair is that the two boots seem to be of different widths. My son says that the narrower one fits better, and it's not a bid deal, so I did not return them. He does not have a particularly wide foot, so I do not know which one is abnormal. Just got them in. Looks like a decent boot for the price. I bought a size 10, which always fits me fine, regardless of shoe, boot, slipper, whatever. These boots, oddly, are a bit tight, and even more abnormal, they are tight on the sides and in the heel. They are plenty long enough. We'll see how they wear over time and how they break in. I'm most concerned about cooler weather, as restricted blood flow can lead to cold feet. I'll fairly update the review if warranted. ... show more

I tried the “name brand” first as I was really looking for a cold weather boot, but couldn’t find a pair that fit properly. These boots fit great and were true to size (I have long/narrow feet). That being said these boots are NOT insulated and do not keep your feet warm in anything below 40 F. I bought them to use when riding the SxS but I must wear heavy socks to keep my feet barley warm. However, I still use them for yard work and they are very comfortable so worth considering. ... show more
