  • Works great - fits snug
Style: 10'' x 10''
I just needed it for my storage room but it works great to hide some plumbing.

  • Nice and clean looking
Style: 8'' x 8''
Its a good looking, inconspicuous access panel. However, the mounting ability is severely lacking. (see photo's) The flange going into the wall cavity is not nearly deep enough. I've got 5/8" drywall on the wall of the opening I needed concealed. The flange does not go deep enough to reach back to the framing members and if you wanted to screw this thing in (which is highly recommended) you will be putting screws into the edge of the drywall itself. Some would call this absolutely useless then based on that. However, a little 'power grab', silicone or other adhesive will keep this thing in place. Opening the access panel is a little tough and you will need a screw driver or a dime to pry it open. But the aesthetics are nice and any other closing mechanism would ruin that. So .... if your looking for a nice looking but not so great at mounting access panel - this will do! ... show more

  • Great solution to hole in drywall!
Style: 12'' x 12''
This is a nice plastic access panel! I am installing it behind my washer to cover a hole I was forced to cut in my drywall due to a contractor error. The installation is straightforward, and it is a perfect solution for accessing plumbing cutoffs hidden in the wall!

  • Measure the inside before you cut your hole!
Style: 12'' x 12''
I initially marked my drywall to cut a 12 x 12 hole and then rethought it. I opened the panel and traced the inside on the drywall to give a better idea of the size of the hole. There is NO hardware included, but it can be installed with liquid nails or screws depending on the structure you’re using. Mine is installed in drywall to allow for access to my master bath shower plumbing. It is very thin against the drywall and opening it means prying it open with your nails or flat object like a screwdriver, so this access panel may not be for everyone or every situation, but it works perfectly for my project. I attached using liquid nails and let it dry overnight. It is 100% secure and opens without stressing the panel or the drywall. Big fan! ... show more

  • Plastic but Works
Style: 12'' x 12''
This is a nice trim to finish your plumbing access. It's plastic, so. Ot sure how durable it will be. I gave it three stars for appearing a bit cheap, but for many applications it will be suitable regardless of being plastic.

  • Access panel can solve problems - temporary or permanent
Style: 12'' x 12''
The panel has a very nice texture on the outside, and has a hinged door, which only has discreet branding on the back of the door (facing inside the wall). No fasteners are included which is not an issue. I would recommend to drill small pilot holes since the screws go horizontally into the edge of the drywall surrounding it. I ordered this to temporarily cover a hole in drywall (ceiling) to delay a costly repair. The good thing about this type of solution is that it doesn't interfere in any way with doing the real repair later, but for the cost of a Big Mac meal and a shake, you can have something inoffensive to cover up a damaged wall or ceiling, prevent any possible ingress of bugs, etc. Obviously this isn't the main purpose this was designed for, and there's nothing wrong with this in a permanent installation either. Primary use case tends to be for plumbing access but low voltage electrical is another possibility. (For high voltage electrical, check with code before doing something that would cause you to need this.) ... show more
