These boots have been fantastic from the first wearing. Because they come up over the ankle, I have needed to break them in a little, but not as much as I thought I would, and there is no feeling of binding or chafing (I do wear a thin long sock and could not wear a heavier wool with these). The leather is supple, dye is rich and beautiful. (Only negative is the laces are a little bit short!) Many companies that specialize in men's footwear have lesser-quality versions of the same for women, often more expensive and usually much worse made. This boot is the exact one as the men's on a woman-sized last. I got these in brown and did not have any of the issues reported by other buyers. I will be getting a pair in black as well--and may never wear another boot! These really are incredible, everything their reputation claims.

Still breaking them in inside the house as the just arrived. I'll post another review after my trip to Africa in April. For now...these are really cute boots! I ordered 1/2 size larger as recommended and I'm really glad I did. They just fit with no room to spare. If you are "between" sizes, I would recommend ordering 1/2 size larger than you larger size. So, if you are between a 7.5-8 I would order 8.5. They are a bit stiff, but seems to be fine leather and a sturdy sole so that is to be expected. I have average thickness crew socks on. I also have narrow feet with bunions. These boots even in the larger size fit snug so maybe these are best for narrow or narrow-to-medium width feet. I hope I continue to love them! BTW...the "Amazon" recommended size for me was size 7! Glad I followed the manufactures recommendation to go 1/2 size bigger.

Extremely poor quality for the price of the boot. This boot is falling apart after just 6 months of 1-2 wears per week. Customer service claimed it was a weather related issue and not the fact that they sold me a bad replacement (this was the replacement they sent after receiving a product with the same problem.) I’ve had $30 pairs of boots last longer than this. If you’re looking for a quality shoe this is not it, the support team will just try to gaslight you into thinking it’s because you wore it in the wrong type of weather.

Beautiful boots, but I'm so relieved I read reviews first. Reviewers said to size up a half size, and I, wanting to wear thick socks inside, sized up a full size. Unfortunately these shoes are very narrow and still fit as though they were a full size smaller (and can't be worn with cozy socks as they're far too tight). Lots of wiggle room in the toe but the rest is absurdly narrow. My feet are wide but not excessively so, so if your feet are at all wide size up! Otherwise, well made, beautiful color, sturdy and look built to last.

These boots are my absolute favorite! Great quality I’ve worn them for maybe a year now almost daily and they are still in great condition! The soles are still solid and nothing is separating. I used to have to buy vintage boots to get a similar style but the soles would always be old leather and I’d have to get them resoled. Not anymore! I’ve found the perfect modern version! Love these!! Look amazing with dresses and pants!
