The boot arrived and it is lovely to look at. However, one can find some stitching issues along the sole, but it's not too conspicuous. What is disappointing is the fit is tight and one might even order half a size larger rather than the other way around, as per suggestion. There are a few pressure points causing a great deal of pain, but I'm sure it will get better after it's broken in. I will keep this pair, but I would expect the quality to be better at this price point. I would pick it up at $100 in a heartbeat, but not at $200. ... show more

This pair of boots is a replacement pair of Captain boots. I purchased my first pair several years ago. I had my previous boots resoled, but it was time for a new pair. I like the looks and comfort of these boots, and I continue to get complements on them.

Before wearing the boots I contacted TB regarding a crease on the top/toe area of my right boot (Loggers in "Dark Brown Waxed Flesh Horween® Leather"). I was told it was not a problem but that they would take care of me if anything resulted from that. Within about two months the area I had pointed out became extremely worn. It looked like a wire brush had been taken to it! I contacted Thursday Boots and, since that day, have been in a back and forth for ELEVEN MONTHS! Thursday Boots is claiming this is normal, and how the boots are intended to wear, yet if you look up their Loggers on their website, you will see there is absolutely no mention that the boots are designed to turn from the glossy finish they show in all the pictures to the fuzzballs they claim the boots naturally morph into. If the boots would have worn evenly, I would not mind all that much, though I would still say they are not properly describing their product, especially when there is such a drastic change supposedly designed into the wear of the finish... but the severe wear is on one boot, at the exact spot I had a concern about. Thursday Boots have, in emails and a phone call, with photos, stuck with the script. The most help they offered was telling me to take the boots to a cobbler and have them waxed again and they would pay. However, I feel strongly, as do some others I showed them to, that there is a problem with quality control. THese were presents from my wife, who spent $300 on them, and I find their suggestion rather insulting. I also got on the TB Enthusiasts page on FB and, although a few people tried to help, I was immediately trolled by several people accusing me of lying, mocking, etc., TB chimed in saying the same "this is normal" script, and the moderators deleted my thread three times. So now I am stuck with a pair of $300 boots that look mismatched and like one of them will continue to deteriorate much, much faster than the other because TB refuses to do anything about this. I thought they would have the boots sent back to look at them, but not even that. So they've lost a customer who was planning on purchasing at least three to four more of their boot styles in the very near future. I will now be glad to pay more money and go with Redwing Boots. Take a look at the photos I posted. The boots were worn perhaps twice a week in the beginning, and then sometimes more, and sometimes not at all. They were used as everyday wear, not as construction or anything rougher than walking through a field, through areas with river-rock gravel, and out to dinner and at work (teaching). ... show more
