  • inexpensive but a should buy
Style: Alto Sax
For price it does the job. I use it all the time after I use swab but it can be used by it self.

  • Very useful, also works for cleaning my flute
Style: Alto Sax
I bought this to clean and dry the neck of my alto sax as I was having problems getting regular cleaning swabs stuck in the neck. (They really only run through one way but I can't always remember which way is the right direction.) I also discovered I love to use this to swab out my flute. Nicer than putting a small cloth on the end of the tuning rod. It fits the nicely and drys the head joint well. Obviously, it wouldn't clean the main section of the flute but I often play for just a short time and it does dry the top three or four inches. ... show more

  • A useful goodie for sax players
Style: Tenor/Baritone Sax
Just long enough to fit a tenor sax neck end to end, but also useful for running through a mouthpiece to soak up the spit. Dinged the overall rating because the protective tip on each end of the neck saver has a tendency to fall off, making the neck saver difficult to run through the sax neck. First thing to do is pull each one off and put a drop of super glue on the wire end, then reattach the end protectors. Super glue doesn't do well with moisture, so be careful not to lose a tip even after gluing. ... show more

  • Perfect for what it’s designed for.
Style: Alto Sax
You would think, considering the simplicity of this product, that it wouldn’t be difficult to make a good one. However, the last brand I bought started to come apart after only a few months. This one works great and does exactly what it’s supposed to do!

  • This swab is cheaply made. The material frays and falls off (into the sax neck).
Style: Tenor/Baritone Sax
This swab is cheaply made and not easy to insert in the saxophone neck. Worse yet, the material on this Neck Swab frays and falls off. This causes the material to stick inside the neck. Not good. I wish I could get a refund.

  • Thin and not the same color as showed on the Amazon ads.
Style: Alto Sax
The fibers are thinly spread, not as thick as I expected. The color advertised on Amazon was either yellow or blue which I like for a change. But when I received it, it was the same old boring black & white :-D Let's see how it works before the final rating. :D

  • Works great for its purpose
Style: Tenor/Baritone Sax
Keeps my tenor neck dry. The plastic tip fell out after a week and I can't seem to find it but I just make sure to not insert that side into the neck. Definitely recommend this product to others just make sure to Krazy Glue the plastic tips on just in case you end up loosing them forever. Is about the same length as the saxophone neck and I have no complaints on it for this month that I've had it. ... show more
